Trigger Plugs with Ultimate

Looking into purchasing a pair of Trigger Plugs for my Gamecube controller, as I’m attempting to make the switch (pun intended) from the Pro controller, and I’ve heard that there have been issues in Smash 4 with them. Does anyone know if the issues persisted into Ultimate, or if it’s fine and I don’t have anything to worry about?

Not sure if you are still looking for an answer but Ultimate also seems to register the slider as the shield and not the actual button press so although you could cut the travel time of the push you might run into trouble if the slider doesn't reach the activation level
