Wavedashing isn't a glitch <_<

Wavedashing is not a glitch, it is a product of the physics system for this game.
Basically what happens is this:
Okay, you press jump. You add X amount of momentum to you. But you airdodg into the ground and did not allow the jump animation to use up your momentum. You keep your momentum and simply put it in a different direction- thus, you slide along the ground for a distance determined by your character's traction.

Woah ok going to check that are you saying that you can do SAMUS grounded??? Samus can be sent through the bottom wing of Venom? using Samus Grapple on the bottom wing of Venom and have mario or Doctor mario cape her before she fully extends and she should shoot up and roll up the bottom of the wing, then she should go through the wing and not be able to jump?

does that sound right? if so thanks and i will go try that out.

ok and the other method is to do the Super Wavedash near the edge of the level and have mario cape her as she goes over the edge? this should work also? i will try and add it to my list.

thanks
Yes. I am saying you can do the SAMUS grounded by sending her through the bottom wing of Venom. West-Coast-Wes has a video that shows it being done. Have Samus grapple the bottom wing of venom and have mario cape her AS SHE IS SWINGING TO THE HANING POSITION. You can NOT do it if she is hanging from the grapple or if you cape her durring the first few frames of when the grapple connects with the wing.

The superwave dash method is pretty much stated correctly. Just note it does not really matter where you cape her. You just need to cape her to get her to fly.

Dragonshadows: thanks for that i understand exactly what you are saying and Sofaking sheik and i are working hard to try to recreate it and get pictures on this site. (all we can do now is have samus travel under the level and land on the opposite wing but heres to trying) adn thanks for your imput

Also Lumination, i know good and well what a wave dash is thats why i added the word TRICKS to the begining of this list, thanks for your concern and additions though.

Ok and last (the video of mario falling through corneria at 5:49) total Glitch animation bug, highly unlikely that it is reproducable.
but heres what happened he crouch canceled under samus's bomb between the two polygons that comprise the great fox'es tail, and the force used to send him up sent him down, and lastly the great fox moves up, down, foward and back as you play that level. If you don't believe me freeze glitch someone in mid air (under the lazers or by the tail) and they will appear to move around. (this is the great fox flying) the Great fox was probibly moving upwards, mario got knocked downwards, and the impact sent him through the two connected polygons.
(thats the best i can come up with)

Sorry, if anyone finds out how to just fall through the stage, let me know (and yes i already know how to make Fox and Falco fall through seal)

*Reading the glitches everyone posts hurts my head*

Isn't this stuff supposed to be universally known by now? Try to stick with posting pictures / videos / guides on how-to and not just saying it. Most people here know all the glitches. Dragonsshadows, no offense, but I think everything you've posted in this topic so far has been common knowledge.

common knowledge or not, they are all in one centralized location for easy access. (not trying to override you or undermine what you are saying)

this topic makes it eaiser for others to see and understand the glitches. whereas the so called "official" glitch site has no other insite except peoples posts with no explination or follow up.

this keeps them all on the first page, catagorized, and updated with pictures.

i am sorry if you are tired of looking at them but i have had about 14,000 people look at it at least once.
and it is not even stickied.

it is hard to make everything "Universially known" if there is not a site for it. and all the glitches everyone else writes. i add them to my list to avoid confusion, mindless, and endless post reading.

Go to the Debug Menu using an Action Replay. Pick any character, have a CPU be Master Hand, and go to the Underground Maze stage from Adventure Mode. Wait for Master Hand to do the attack where he rockets off into the background and tries to hit you. At the end of the attack, he'll catch on fire when he touches the candle on the wall.

I spent about 3 hours fixing most of the errors in the first post.

I have a feeling the only reason this topic hasn't been stickied is because of all the grammatical errors in the first post.

The first post also has a lot of errors of fact, such as... I did not give the pika teleport glitch. The only glitchs I told JRI3102 about were the cape teleportation, the Samus grounded, Jigglypuff's rising pound, and the infinite hold glitch. I believe someone beat me to the cape teleportation glitch though.

I have a feeling a lot of the credits given are incorrect and the topic won't be stickied until they are fixed. I don't know what the errors are unfortunatly. I would fix them if I did.

I really enjoy this topic and feel it is one of the best ones on the boards. I wish it was stickied. The main problem was all the grammetical errors such as passive voice and unclear directions. This post should fix those problems and make this topic the best topic on the boards (^_^).

Please help JR13102 fix the credits he gives by telling him if he has a citation incorrect.
I would also appreciate if you could give suggestions such as what order the glitches should be in (alphbetical, logical, chronological).

If you have a better way to explain a glitch, please give the # of the glitch and the way you would like to see it stated.

As a response to that attack Kokichi made against me... I have made much more useful posts then you ever have on this topic! All you have done on this topic is complained. Try reading the posts I have made on this topic (as I did your 1 post) before you make an asinine accusation!

--> = conditionals, * = the beginning of a loop, -*- = condition to end loop, <> = comments

1. Links and young Links Grounded -- Link can't jump. shows the animation but does not leave the ground.

As Link go to Venom.
Go to the lower wing.
Dodge to the edge of the wing so you are facing the ship.
Jump off the edge of the wing.
Throw your boomeraing while in the air.
Hook shot the edge of the wing.
Hang from the hook shot until the boomerang comes back and hits you.

When the boomerang hits you, you will roll up the bottom of the wing and fly through the level. You are then "stuck" to the wing and can't be smashed off. Even at 999%. To cancel the glitch, walk to the edge of the wing or get thrown by an opponent.

Note: You can throw bombs and opponents through Venom's lower wings while you are grounded.

2. Sheik super Sex kick recovery/Cape teleportation -- Sheik teleports accross the level and hits everyone who is standing on the ground.

Works on most levels.
Go to Final Destination with Sheik and Mario.
Have Sheik hang from one of the edges.
Have Mario stand about a cape length away from the edge Sheik is hanging from.
Have Sheik do her laying down kick to recover from the edge.
Cape Sheik as she is recovering.

If you preform this glitch on Mushroom Kingdom 2, on the left-most edge or right-most edge, Sheik will instantly die.

3. One Pixel Characters --your character shrinks to the size of one pixel with no restrictions on attacks and can't get hit by most attacks

Pick Yoshi and Kirby on training mode.
Have Kirby take Yoshi's B move.
*
Have Kirby turn Yoshi into an egg.
Spin Yoshi's analog stick as fast as you can.
--> if Yoshi has 100%+ dmg heal him with a heart.
--> if Yoshi is to small to eat, have him jump in the air and "catch" him with Kirby's toung.
-*- go back to * and repeat 40+ times.

Note: if you mess up, Yoshi will grow back to full size.

4. Ice Climbers freeze glitch -- freeze an opponent and render him useless. Can turn opponent into eggs or stars.

Select Ice Climbers.
Move IC so they push an opponents character.
Turn around and press Z so Nana (the CPU IC) grabs the opponent.
<Nana's down throw is hardest to freeze character with>
As Nana hits the opponent, Hammer Squal (over B) with Popo.

This should freeze your opponent so he can't moved except by dodging in or being throw by certain characters in certain directions. For Example: Mew2's down throw will move the opponent, but not unfreeze him whereas Mew2's forward throw will unfreeze the opponent.

Note: you can freeze a Nana that is preforming Glitch #6 Fireflower glitch. You can suck up a frozen opponent with Kirby then spit them out as stars. You can turn frozen opponents into eggs.

5. Link/Y. Link Super Jump -- Link flys above the stage and has an 8 to 10 second freefall

As Link, dodge to the edge of a stage.
Jump backwards off the edge.
Throw a boomerang at a high angle while in the air.
Hookshot the edge or wall as you are falling.
Hang there.

The boomerang should come back and hit you. You will then fly up to the top of the level.

6. Nana flamethrower -- Nana has an infinite (non-attacking) flame coming out of her

Grab a fireflower with the Ice Climbers.
Jump in the air and press Z to give Nana the flower.
Press and hold A so Nana uses the flower.
When you hit the ground, hit down B.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/Nana.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/NanaFire3.jpg

7. Infinite Superscope -- unlimited Superscope ammo

Grab a super scope.
Fire 5 short bursts <the 3 small ball shot>.
Fire 2 fully charged shots.
Start charging a third shot.
Have something hit you while you are charging.
<For example: start charging the 3rd shot above a mine and fall into it.>

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/InfiniteReflector.jpg

8. Hammer taunts-- any move any taunt any stage the hammer taunts (my specialty) V1.0 ONLY

Pick up a Hammer.
Hold the analog stick in the down position like you want to croutch.
Have someone hit you in the back.
<Link is the easiest character to hit someone with a hammer>
You should now be croutching with the hammer.
Taunt.

Note: You can use moves such as down B or over B. You can pause the game, hold up B, unpause the game to do an up B.

9. Real radish Glitch/ Black Hole Glitch -- (one of the coolest glitches by far) Set up a Black Hole of Radishes that instantly cause 999% damage

Select Fox and Ness on the red team (team attack off), Falco on the blue team, and Peach on the green team
Go to Hyrule temple.
Grab a superscope with Ness and preform Glitch #7 infinite ammo.
Place Fox on the left edge of the gap.
Place Ness behind him.
Place Falco on the opposite ledge.
Place Peach below and between Falco & Fox.
Have both Fox and Falco hold their reflectors.
Have Ness begin to fire the Superscope (you should see one green ball form near Falco).
Have Peach jump into this ball. (Ness should keep firing).
Three green balls should form.
Keep jumping into the green balls.
Stop firing the Superscope when you have a steady line of green balls that appear to be hovering in place.
Fox and Falco should be stuck in their shines.
Have Peach throw 15 radishes into the green beam.
Have Ness roll into the green beam to destroy it.

To destroy the black hole pull radishes from it. After about 2 or 3 pulls the black hole should fly away.

Edit: Here is an image of me doing the glitch with no help.

(Thanks Lord HDL and SuperDoodleMan)(Thanks Cap'n Crunch)

Notes:
If you perform Glitch #4 IC Freeze Glitch and DI a character into the Black Hole then DI out, they will continue to be frozen.
Yoshi can swallow a character and push the egg into the Black Hole.
Yoshi can freeze himself if he trys to eat a character from the black hole.
Throwing a character into the black hole with Kirby will freeze both Kirby and the opponent.
Ness can use his up B to fly past the hole.
If Fox or Falco fall into the hole while holding their Reflector, they will be frozen and do additional damage to other players.
If Fox's reflector gives the damage to an opponent who jumps into the hole, the opponent will never fly off screen... They will simply fall as though they were just shined.
If this glitch is timed correct, the game will actually speed up as if you are playing Lightning Melee.
Ness can trap PK fires (over B) in the black hole and they will not disappear.
If Glitch #38 Sheik's needles is put into the hole, the game will freeze.
Sex kicks and back kicks freeze characters in the black hole
(Thanks SofakingSheik)

10. Extended Grapple beam-- grapple beam becomes twice a long and can home-in on characters

Select Samus.
Hold R and press A as fast as you can.
At the same time press up then down on the D pad repeatedly.

Note:
You have to press A to grab someone after preforming this glitch.
If you press A, the extended grapple beam will track opponents.
You do NOT have to press A to grab a wall in the air.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/ExtendedBeamBack.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/ExtendedBeamUp.jpg

11. Jiggs self-destruct

Hold R and shield break.

Note:
This is fun to do on the underground maze.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/JiggsSheild1.jpg

12. GW super bucket of doom – GW does 300% damage.

Have Ness do three PK Flashes(neutral B) into GW's bucket (down B).
Unload the bucket on a Roy who counters OR Unload the bucket on an opponent with his sheild up.
GW will fly off the screen

13. Soul Breaker-- Mewtwo connects someone to his body (Leads to #57. Soul Stunner)

Go to Battlefield as Mew2.
Reflect a red shell 5 times with confusion.
Have an opponent fall in front of Mew2.
Have Mew2 reflect the red shell AND confuse the opponent at the same time.
Mew2 should fly up and fall on 1 of the 3 platforms above him.

Notes:
If Mew2 uses confusion, his opponent will be frozen the same way as Glitch #4 the IC freeze glitch.
You can get a 32,625 combo on training mode by hitting the frozen character.

14. Peach Frozen radish-- a radish is frozen in air. It can be grabbed and re-thrown but it stays in mid air V1.0 ONLY

Not sure but I think you have Marth catch a radish and tip peach at the same time

Note:
I haven’t done this glitch but I have seen it done.
This glitch isn't specific to radishs or Peach. I've seen videos where it's happened to ray guns, and have personally seen an occurrence with a beam sword.
People have said it happens randomly on V1.0.
(Thanks Omnigamer)

(Link to similar Video of item freezing)
(Thanks Queen DVS and Great Dabisu)

15. Double Barrel cannon Fire--two people shot from the DK barrel (under the stage) at the same time

Have Mario cape the barrel as an opponent is being shot out of it and Mario will be sent skywards with the opponent

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/CannonStand.jpg

62. Fox trot -- Fox runs faster then his normal animation THIS IS A TRICK, NOT A GLITCH

Run forward, release the analog stick, run forward again. Fox will repeat his initial dash animation (which is faster then his normal run) . Continue across the entire level.

63. Item Bouncing-- Peach throws a radish (yes, it is a Japanese radish) then it bounces off the ground then goes through the stage.

Go to the Temple as Peach.
Stand on the top of the level to the right of the stairs.
Throw a radish left and have it bounce right before the ledge you can fall through to get to Tech Hall.
it will bounce through the level then appear to the right of the gazebo on the very top left of the Temple, then disappear.

64. Frozen Bowser -- Bowser is caught under the dock of adventure mode

Choose Bowser in Adventure mode.
Walk to the end of the dock and go under it (where the trophy usually is) then press down b to the left and you should freeze there.
(Thanks tenyearwarranty)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/FrozenBowser.jpg

65. Random Faces -- Characters life indicaters do not match the characters

Go to Tournament mode and select loser out.
Choose Ditto as one of your characters (when you are selecting the character hold L and R).
Play a few matches, and the life indicaters won't match the characters being played. (I found this works once or twice per tournament and it mostly happened with Pichus character or yellow Roy’s picture.)

Note:
Not easily reproducible but can be done. (The picture shows Pichu winning, p1 is a Roy picture and p2 is a Fox... that is the best picture I could take.)
(Thanks GameAngel64)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/RandomFaces.jpg

66. Kirby KO -- Kirby does a suicide KO with his up throw.

Go to either Infinite Glacier or Rainbow Cruise with Kirby.
Throw an opponent up and Kirby should bounce off one of the above platforms, killing both players.

67. No Hit Percent -- Your character does not have a percent when you are fighting.

Go to training mode.
Pause and put the cursor over reset.
Have your character jump off the edge.
When the damage % bounces away press start A (to reset).
When you respawn you will not have a percent.

NOTE: you still take damage and the hit % comes back when you die.
(Thanks Steel Kangaroo)

68. Taunt cancels-- Dr. Mario, Young link, Link, Samus, Pikachu, Pichu, and Yoshi stop their taunt before it is complete without getting hit by anyone

Dr. Mario: run to the edge of a stage and taunt before you get there. The balance animation will cancel the taunt.
Y link: throws the boomerang before taunting.
Link: Throw a boomerang before taunting.
Samus: Drop a bomb (Down B) then taunt.
Pikas or Yoshi: Sheild before the taunt is done.

69. Infinite Reflector -- cause a green bar of Infinite energy to trap Fox or Falcos shine.

Create the green bar in Glitch #9 The Black Hole.
Have Fox shoot his blaster at anyone holding their reflector.
If you shoot fast enough, the other player cannot escape.

Note:
If playing on a team with Mario or Doc, Mario can cape the trapped reflector to high damage as long as Fox continues to shoot the blaster.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/InfiniteReflector.jpg

70. Dumb characters. -- Computer AI leads certain characters into acquired situations.

Fox glitch: go to temple and lead an AI fox to the lowest point. Leave fox there and he will be stuck in an endless jump cycle
Peach glitch - select a fast character against a level 9 peach. Go to venom, lure peach to the lower left wing then quickly go to the other low wing. Peach will stand still.
Against most AI - Go to Yoshi 64 and jump from the far right cloud to cloud on the left. Most AI can't follow.
Go to Fourside and stand on the left edge of the center building (little edge about the size of one character). Wait for the AI to get to the center of the building. Walk left and grab the edge of the left building (most AI will try to D-air you and fall to their doom).
Do the same thing on the new DK levels (far left to center) or (main stage to rock)
In Poke Floats lure the AI to Squirtels left hand (left part of the stage) then retreat to his head the AI will stand there until he dies.

71. Daisy’s third eye -- Daisy trophy has a third eye on the back of her head

Go to the Daisy trophy and look at the back of her head.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/Daisysthirdeye.jpg

72. Yoshi's Island in Metal Mario -- You can see Yoshi's island on the metal Mario trophy

Zoom in and press start to change the background, you should see a reflection of Yoshi's island in Metal Mario’s hat.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/MetalMarioReflect.jpg

73. Barrel cannon message -- Barrel cannon tells a message.

Look under the cannon trophie and see the message 2L84ME (to late for me)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/DKBarrelmessage.jpg

73. Smash two sign -- You can see a sign that says SMASH 2 THIS IS A TRICK, NOT A GLITCH

If you look around the Mute City trophy, you can see a couple of signs that say smash two (they are along the track shortly after the tunnel). You can also seen during the stage.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/Smash2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/Smash22.jpg

74. Dolphin references -- Gamecubes codename Dolphin has references throughout this game THIS IS A TRICK, NOT A GLITCH

If you zoom in on Ness’s yo-yo you can see the word dolphin.
Big Blue has a lot of signs in the background that have dolphins in it.
When you travel upside down on Big Blue, check the clouds out every now and then.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/Dolphanhint2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/Dolphanhint.jpg

75. Venom Lava -- You can be spiked from different parts of the level

While traveling on the Great Fox (shortly after the cave) look for blobs of lava on the ground. if you are ever spiked into one of them, you will fly back up and off the top of the level (just like you can be reflected while you are inside the cave)

76. Kill opponent -- Instant Death

Use Glitch #4 IC Freeze on an opponent behind a race car in Big Blue. The race car will push the frozen character off the stage and permanently KO them. They will NOT respawn.
You can also use a Pokemon in Poke Floats to push an opponent off screen.
Also works on rainbow cruise and infinite glacier.

Note:
Freeze an opponent on infinite glacier while it is moving upward so it kills them on the top of the stage. When the stage moves down you will see them, but not be able to make any contact with them.
(Thanks Supa-Def)

77. Pichu Bob-omb glitch -- Pichu takes no damage from Bob-omb

Go to training mode with Pichu.
Make a Bob-omb and use Pichu's down smash. The Bomb explodes but Pichu takes no damage. Works with 4-5 bombs.
(Thanks Supa-Def)

78. Freeze Charizard -- Charizard Freezes

Preform Glitch #13 Soul Breaker Glitch in training mode.
Set CPU to two and grab the first CPU.
Zap the CPU once and throw him up to freeze him (like the Soul Stunner #57).
Do it again to the second CPU but keep the second CPU very close to the first.
Throw Pokeballs up at the CPUs until Charizard appears.
When he appears quickly use Mewtwo's up tilt as fast as possible.
Charizard should freeze in place.
(Thanks Supa-Def)

79. FireFox cancel -- Fox loses the flames around him during the Firefox

Hit Fox with Mario's fireball as Fox is traveling with his up B.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/AntiFirefox.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/AntiFirefox2.jpg

80. No Halo Link -- Link does not have a circle around him when he does his up B

Run towards the edge with Link.
Use up B at the edge.
Link will slide off and have the appearance of a standing Up B. There won't be a Halo around him.

Suggestion:
Try it on Venom so you can land on the bottom wing if you mess up.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/Nohaloupb.jpg

81. Jump through Level -- Brainstar Depths can be jumped through.

When you begin Brainstar wait for Kraid to rotate the level counter clockwise twice. Go to the floating rock on the bottom right.
Try to jump through the dome area.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/LinkThroughBrainstarDepths.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/LinkThroughBrainstarDepths2.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v682/JRI3102/Smash Photos/LinkThroughBrainstarDepths5.jpg

82. Infinite Holds -- Hold someone and bring their damage up to 999%.

Have someone hold an opponent and have someone else begin hitting them with a rapid fire A move (Fox/Falco kick, Kirby punch, Link/ Y. Links Sword/FALCO's blaster).

Note:
This glitch is perfect if team attack off.

83. Jiggs rising and falling pound -- Jiggs can travel any amount of horizontal distance without losing altitude.

As Jigglypuff, pound the air (over B) at an upward angle (just before Jigglypuff will sing) and Jigglypuff will not fall downward at all. You can travel the entire length of Hyrule or Cornelia with out dropping a millimeter!

Note:
This technique is banned in official tournament play because it is considered a stall tactic (much like Peaches Wallbomber.) You can use it to recover but you cannot use it to hover at the top of the stage until time runs out.

84. Bob-omb Rain -- Play a sudden death match with 99 stock and not register any of the kills.

Start a 99 stock match with a 1 minute time limit.
Don't attack each other and start sudden death.
Finish the match and no one will have any kills.

85. Star Characters -- Turn any character into a star

Preform Glitch #33 Kirby Super Suck and DI the frozen character low enough for Kirby to swallow them. Spit them out and they will be a Star forever.
Note:
Can be done with Glitch #6 Nana Fireflower.

86. Ness teleport -- Ness flies under the level and grabs onto the opposite ledge

Go to Final Destination with Ness and Mario.
Have Ness and Mario stand on the ground.
Have Ness use PK thunder (up B) straight at Mario.
Have Mario stand just at the end of Nesses range and cape him as he is traveling.
Ness will flip around twice, appear under the level, travel to the farthest ledge, bounce off it and then grab the ledge.

87. Permanent Illusion -- A copy of fox or Falco's Illusion is permanently branded into the level.

Use Fox or Falco's illusion (over B) directly into Glitch #9 Black Hole Glitch.
If you become trapped in it while the illusion copies are behind you, they will stay frozen in the level. It is very hard to determine the spacing and timing for this one.
Tell me suggestions or post what you think

88. Pikachu's Super Wave Dash -- Pika slides across the entire stage

Short hop with Pikachu.
Press up b and quick attack directly into the ground, then to a side, then have Mario cape Pika or have Mewtwo use confusion to turn Pika around.
Pika will teleport across the level.

Aurus, you talking about JRI's guide or mine?
Which glitch is particularly hard to understand?
How would you like to see it written?

I think your all forgetting about the glitch with Peaches down A. This works best against yoshi. Choose Peach and Yoshi. Have Yoshi duck and walk up to him with Peach. While Yoshi's ducking release a fully charged down A with Peach and it should do about 72%.
That's just CC, or crouch cancel. This is common knowledge and isn't exactly a glitch in most people's minds.

I dont know if you want to include this in Dumb Characters, but the enemy AI in SSBM always ignores Proxy Mines. No matter what level they are on or where the mines are, they always walk into them without making any effort to avoid them.

thanks everyone for your imput, also i am adding videos soon. right now i am editing my list and Dragonsshadows. to merge them. (Grammer Sucks) (what the heck is passive voice???) it sounded right when i said it outloud.

i have to figure out a website that allows me to keep putting videos on the web, then give me a URL to link it to here. (i do not have the smash hub, and after many attempts i have still been unable to access it.)

so heres to the next 15 days that i am out of school i am going to correct this enough to that it might become stickied (crosses fingers)

and it will have better pictures (because of my video capture software) and now videos!!!

stay tuned.

I'd use FileFront, it's quick to sign up and reliable.

You should mention on #10 that if you have not pressed A or Z while the grapple is going out, if you hold A or Z on the way in, it can grab while traveling back to samus. Also, maybe say that it can't grab out of the air, although Samus' regular grapple can't anyway.

There's also some notes you missed in #9, but they're not all that important. Just things like which moves can get stuck to give invulnerability. and in #87 you need to be invulnerable to have them stick, although I want to see a pic of fox's being stuck, i'm skeptical that his sticks.

Edit: you forgot one that can be done with samus, the hammer trick. I'll explain it tomorrow if you want (only works on 1.00 though).

pretty much, but you can PoF it if you drop the hammer and then bomb again and pick it up, after that ou can just keep bombing and going upwards.

I agree absolutely. The guide is very good and contains a lot of information. However, this guide needs more elaborate explanations and more punctuation. It becomes very difficult to understand without periods and commas and all that in the middle. One time when I was reading this (like a month ago I believe) I got so frustrated because I couldn't understand one of the glitches. I got mad... So, someone should fix the errors and provide more comprehensible explanations to the glitches.

Instead of:
have samus lay bomb beside the hammer right before u explde press a and grab the hammer you will know be able to swd jump lay bomb or anything you like

Try this:
Have Samus lay a bomb when she is standing next to the hammer. Just before the bomb explodes, press A to grab the hammer. If performed correctly, Samus should grab the hammer and then the bomb will explode. Now you should be able to perform any move while holding the hammer. You can do Up + B and then hang on the edge. Then you could maybe do some edge attack (press B on the edge)... etc

Sorry for exaggerating a bit, but that's how some of the explanations are in the guide. They need to be fixed otherwise people will get all frustrated. Despite some of the bad explanations, the compilation is good. I like it!

Very interesting. It is rather disheartening to sell that glitches are present in my favorite game, but at the same time they are fun to try out. As was said before, this guide needs a cleaner presentation and better explanations of the glitches. But this guide is still good.

Thanks a lot all i am working hard and fast to get this cleared up for everyone, it has come over a lot of popularity really fast. Sorry my punctuation really sucks and i have sent the guide through Microsoft Word a few times to clear up some of the really nasty stuff. but I am still working on it. i think i am going to revamp the entire thing. i.e.

Video
New Pictures.
Clear pictures/ still shots from in game footage
Clear explinations.

just give me a little time. thanks

(this has been up for over a year i think and it is just now getting really popular, really fast)

EDIT: I have tried file front but the files take forever to download (it is a large file. how can i compress it more or should i just shorten the files.)

here is a sample but it takes forever. (you have to scroll all the way to the bottom)

Wait... #87 Fox's perminate Illusion requires an AR?
That means it isn't a true glitch...

JRI, I'd be happy to help you video the glitches.
I am pretty sure I can get end of HRC in high quality...

ok because that is one of the glitches that i have not spent a lot of time on. it is very hard and i haven't tried it out to the fullest extent. Thanks. Did the Hyperlink send you to the right site to download the videos. (i know they are long but they are still in the editing process.)

and 87 does not need ar i am going to read the definitions but i am positive i have done it three times without the AR (i know this because i don't even have/ or have ever seen an AR.)

nope but if you can find more information on it. or send us more information about it we can probibly figure it out. (Make sure AR is not a part of the glitch)

i think some of them are enhancement glitches, but none of them make the character super powerful and some are hard/ rare to do.

links grounded would be an enhancement glitch. but it is not like the change from sonic to super sonic in the sega games.

JRI, I would suggest fixing your first post before you continue with anything. For example... your intro has an error in it where you say "version 0.0", I am guessing it should say "version 1.0" or "v1.0" for short.

here is your intro
Intro
Tricks and Glitch Database FAQ w/ Pictures
I know and can perform all of these glitches please take my word and the pictures as proof.
I do not have any reason to lie about any of these tricks.
All these glitches can be reproduced and are not AR'ed.
(I prefer if you only send glitches that are not performed with AR)
(Note: most of these glitches were performed on version 0.0)

You have had this post up forever and should start fixing it.

So no one has found out how to do any character enhancement glitches, man that sucks. No one hasn't seen or heard about the Golden,Super Fox Glitch?
Well, its not a AR Glitch because it was played on my friends Ver, which is 1.2.
But this is what I remember, Is some guy named ninja, (He was some random guy that challenged our group.) He came over my friend house and When he was getting erased, He paused the game and put in this button combination,(Which took about 20 sec) And He unpauesed the game, he was on his last life too, he did the firefox and the flames never left him, He was at a glow like the was still in the Firefox mode, And He killed my friends shielk at 40%, From an U-Smash, then my Friend Grabed him and did Falco's d-throw at the very far edge and killed him. We asked him what was that and He told us it was the *SuperFox* technique, He wouldn't tell us(I wouldn't either if I got whooped that bad) and that's all I remembered. The Stage was FD, and It was a Free-For-All. He probably had a mod memory card though, because Even though it was my friends gamecube , We were using his memorycard, and before I 2thought about it I would of copyed his data. But it was too late. Maybe you guys can figure it out.

uber_n00b :
I just made a video of the long glitches. i.e. one pixel character, black hole, and super jump/free falling

i have just cut them so they are not their entirety. i have only included the important steps like set up, procedure, and final results. chech my larger video on my tricks and glitches faq and you will see what i have to edit.

thanks again

also where are your videos located?/ can you send me a link so i can post them on my site.

and how do you compress your videos so they do not take up so much memory, and time to download?

dragonsshadows :
ok it is a slow and steady process. i just went through your post (faq) and edited a few about 10 and added a sentence or to.

thanks i am still working on everything.

I also deleated all the links to the pictures because they did not work (long story short.... the copy and pasted links you see are abreviated and do not send people to the right place)

Kyo Kusanagi : the more i think about it, it was probibly a Moderation, i have never heard of that before but it seems to be a continuation of the Fireflower glitch. (under the same criteria, that is. where the flame animation just continues) foxes up smash is probibly the third best in the game. and it can ko sheik at about 60% (fully charged and no CC)

seems like a trick because nothing else in the game is done durring the pause screen. it is not a medium for code transfer. just to view the screen shots.

The black hole one reminded me of the green shell glitch in training mode in the N64.

You know. Have mario do Mario Cyclone next to 4 green shells in the same spot and the opponent.

Those were the good old days.

You mean the N64 thing?

It really only works in training mode in the original super smash bros.

You play as mario, have your opponent stand still, and create 4 green shells right next to him.

Then press down and B right on top of the shells.

Mario will get frozen in the cyclone and your opponent will rack up damage, reaching 999% in no time. Finally, the shells will disappear and the attack will end.

It's not really a glitch, but the whole "black hole" thing made me think of that.

I'll try to get pictures of it later, maybe.
