Is there a way I can trade pokemon from Sapphire to my Platinum? I've heard I have to get some pal pack or something and beat the Elite 4 but I don't know if that applies to Platinum or not.

And if it does how do I do it once I get the Pal Pack (if thats even it)

Thanks a lot

1. well first you have to beat the elite four!
2. then, you need to find ALL the pokemon there is to see in sinnoh.
3. Rowan and Oak will give you the NATIONAL dex.
4. then the pal park should be opend.
5. before you choose to start your game file when platinum turns on there should be a box that says "migrate from sapphire"
6. pick the 6 pokemon you want to migrate!
that chould be it!

but... now that i got to thinking about it... i only own D/P... no platinum..... so maybe its a different way for platinum but i HIGHLY doubt it so forget i said this last part!

Thanks for the responses so far. Your saying I have to find every single pokemon in the entire game before I get the National dex?? That seems wrong to me I mean how can I find everyone and at that point I'll have probably caught the ones I wanted to trade over anyway

No it works the same as D/P, just that you have to log in different Pokemon comparing to D/P.
What do you mean by logging in certain pokemon?

Beat the E4 and then see all the pokemon for the Platinum dex. Talk to Rowan. You get National Dex. You go to the Pal Park. You save. You restart the game with Sapphire in 2cd slot. You migrate pokemon.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Close thread?

Pal Park is a place BTW you get to by surfing from the town that Rowan lives in. There is a beach to the South of it.

It's not so much trading as trasfering, and after you trasfer the pokemon, you have to find them throughout the Pal Park...

You just have to SEE every single Shinnoh pokemon, not catch it.

If you fought most of the trainers around Shinnoh, you should complete the Shinnoh dex after beating the Champion

By finding them do you mean I have to go through grass and recatch them or what exactly?

Really? It seems really hard to see every one. I'm sure I'll see a lot through fights up to the Champion (I assume you mean the Elite 4 champion) but theres almost 500 I think. What about ones like all the legendaries?

There's a difference between the Shinnoh Dex and the National Dex, the Shinnoh Dex has the select Pokemon you are able to catch when you play the story of the game, the National Dex is when you count every Pokemon that's out in existence, (though it's not possible until after the Pokemon Movie having the last current Pokemon in the National Dex). You have to fill up your Shinnoh Dex, which applies to what PsychoIncarnate just said, face just about every trainer.

The Shinnoh dex has only about 200 pokemon on it...

NOt ALL the pokemon, just the ones in the Shinnoh dex
