Thanks to all the smashers that attended this event, it was great to finally be able to put faces with names. We had 20 players attend the singles and eight 2v2 teams. Here's a breakdown of the results:

1v1:
1st Place: SoS Winnings: $45.00
2nd Place: Xelic Winnings: $45.00
3rd Place: DoH Winnings: $10.00
4th: Smiles
5th: FEAR
5th: Mr. C
7th: Bluezaft
7th: XERO
9th: Forkgirl
9th: Jason
9th: Cuno
9th: King Mosquito
13: Sith
13: D3mon
13: Carlie
13: Apok
17: Smash
17: John B.
17: Vince
17: Piz

Xelic and SoS met in the winners bracket finals with SoS winning, thus Xelic was sent to the losers bracket where he faced off, and beat his 2v2 partner, Darkness of Heart. Instead of finishing the 1v1, Xelic and SoS *opted to combine the winnings from 1st and 2nd and split it in half, with each player receiving $45.

2v2 Results:
1st place: Team BlueSmiles (Bluezaft & Smiles)
2nd place: Team Pride Month (Xelic & DoH) - in my opinion, BEST team name EVER!
3rd place: Team Betty (SoS & Mr. C)
4th place: CD (Cuno & Demon)
5th tie: Team FearGale
5th tie: Shake n Bake (Sith & Smok)
7th tie: Apokalypse (Apok & Cory)
7th tie: Locals (John & Kevin)

*Bluezaft and Smiles were the BIG Upsetters of the night beating both Team Betty in the winners bracket finals and then Team Pride Month in the finals. Xelic and DoH almost came back and won though.

**Everyone should raz Forkgirl, Carlie and Smiles for showing up almost an HOUR late and delaying matchplay. Just kidding, better late than never!

***And special thanks to Cuno and Demon for driving from Houston to attend the event. Someone in Houston needs to step up and start hosting tourneys. Hope to see you guys at the next one.
