Tournament Help

I have been planning on hosting a Brawl tournament at a venue close by, and I wanted a bit of advice before starting. I wanted to know a few things:

Should I run regular singles, or Pools? Im keeping doubles the way they are.

There are 3 flat screen TV's in the venue with no lag, Ill be asking for Set ups as well, but I might think about only the flat screens. the only problem with this is that the wii's are far away from the TV's themselves. Should I still use them?

When running the brackets on the tournament organizer, how should I set it up, random, by skill, etc?

And I was working on a flyer for this event, I can change anything in it, but I want an opinion.

Any feedback on this would be awesome!

For the flyer: Vectorize the outline if you can, it looks really odd with all the jagged edges.

For your first tournament, and only having locals and 3 TVs, I would say just go normal regular singles. Don't bother trying to get pools, you might not get enough to do it, let alone people that understand the concept.

For seeding, I would just do random seeds. If you have a crew come out or something, just don't have them playing each other, and if you end up with a high skill set of players, then go ahead and ask them to help you seed. If its a bunch of randoms, just randomize it.

3 TVs won't be enough time to get through everything if you have a decent number of people. Always try and get more setups; there is never any downside to this.

The black outlines are annoying? Huh, never really thought of them like that.

Im not sure how many people will bring TV's, but theres already 3 there so thats a start.

There had been other tournaments actually hosted at this venue by other people, so I'd imagine brawl has already been thought of there so if its advertised there, then it would get some people. And the original people who had tournaments there stopped iirc.

Im probably going to assume that there will be alot of locals and randoms, so I guess I should go ahead and simply randomize the bracket.

Is this your first tournament? Make sure you do best of 3 sets and have a well-accepted ruleset. I'm not talking about MK, which shouldn't really be a problem either way. I'm talking about rules that are standard pretty much across the board. If you already know all this, then just ignore me. I'm just paranoid because a new organizer here recently ran a best of 1, single elimination, non-seeded tournament with 5 minute matches, and every competitive player I know was upset and might not attend his tournaments again. I talked to him about changing the rules next time, but the damage might already be done.

I don't think pools are necessary, but double elimination is a must. You already indicated you are doing that, so kudos.

If there are two players that are ranked, then I would make sure they aren't on the same side of the bracket. Other than that, I don't think you can do much to seed new players or random locals.

Ive been to a few tournaments myself and Ive talked with TO's, I know the basic ruleset for players to make them happy. This is my first time hosting a tournament though. And lol what was with that guy? 5 mintes best of 1 single elimination? I would've left the minute I found that out.

The rule set would probably be something along the lines of:
Double Elimination
45 lgl except Metaknight hes got 35
3 stocks, 8 minutes, No items, Team Attack on
Metaknight cant do infinite cape glitch
Best of 3

I might've forgot something but thats just quick off of the top of my head

Stage list would be something like:
Neutrals:
FD
BattleField
SmashVille
Yoshis Island
Pokemon Stadim 1
Lylat Cruise
Counterpicks:
Halberd
Castle Seige
Frigate Orpheon
Delphino

No Brinstar. I HATE brinstar.
