Top players list?

I don't think there is, but is there a well regarded top players list for PM, like the Top 100 Melee ELO scores list? I'm just curious, especially since we often use the Melee list to determine who is really good, especially for those just getting into the Smash scene. If not, is there a reason besides PM being not as popular as Melee? Do you think there should be a list? Do you think Smash 4 will get big enough for one?

Not as old, game about to change radically, community not as large, meta developing more radically, different regions have different maps/popular characters and polarizing nature of match ups makes it hard to compare regions. There's a lot more than just that and it's mostly because there's not enough proof to come to a consensus on very much (plus a lot of people don't respect certain players, considering them gimmicks, character reliant etc)

There is a thread by KayB that has the top 5 players for each character and a bunch of videos for them to watch, so that's a start. I believe its called "Top players and videos", not hard to spot.
