Of the characters im most familiar with Nair is really good I find. It auto cancels well and combos into stuff.
I also like nair. It comes out fast and is surprising, can also combo into stuff.

also seem to have good nairs.

What's his N-Air again?

It's basically Mario's Nair, but it hits people upwards instead of at an angle.

D-throw pops them up, Nair finishes them off.

EDIT: I just realized that most of the original 8 characters have similar N-airs, since they all have similar N-airs in the original game. Exceptions being: Falcon (his old F-air is now his N-air), Kirby (His old U-air is now his N-air), DK, Pikachu, Samus. Correct me if I'm wrong, I have not played Smash 64 in a while...

Rosalina is number one, in my opinion. Dat lunar landing tho!
Mega Man. Shooting pellets in mid air feels great!

Though in theory Wario's Nair is good, it overall got nerfed compared to what it was in brawl.

I'd say has the best nair overall (frame 3, kills, pops in the air for juggles), but are all contenders for top 5 and I don't really feel comfortable picking four of them, but I will say I made a vague attempt at ordering them.

 

[YoshiYoshi]

I might be biased, but I'd like to say that Yoshi's is the best, if not the most indispensable to the character. The expanded hitbox is superior to all other n-air sex kicks. Yoshi has a slow f-air and b-air, so he kind of has to use n-air in situation where other characters use fair.

Luigi's is possibly better, but most of that has to do with how stupid his d-throw is. The majority of the time it kills, it's when Luigi d-throws at like, 150% yet somehow can still combo with it. Ludicrous. Yoshi's n-air kills around the same percentages, albeit with less consistent trajectory, but is better for killing off the sides. Luigi kills of the sides with his faster f-air, but that is why the n-air is indispensable to Yoshi (because his f-air is really slow).

I feel like there is too much competition for the next best n-airs for me to finish a top 5.

They're all pretty close but i think thats the order. 6-10 are also pretty much on the same level though.

Mewtwo's and Palutena's without a doubt. Multi-hitting moves are so satisfying.

 

[MarioMeteor]

-Is a reliable KO move, stays out for too long, gimps, catches rolls and sidesteps, and is a good out of shield option.
/ - Covers his body in a hitbox and autocancels. Also catches rolls and has good knockback, in Ike's case.
- Can be comboed into from down throw or up tilt, is one of the strongest neutral airs in the game, deals too much percent, and stays out for a good while.
- Catches rolls, air dodges, and has very little landing lag. Luma also has a ****ton of knockback and Lunar Landed Nair is disgusting.
- You can literally use nothing but this move the whole match and still win. Comes out on frame 3, has no landing lag, and breaks combos. That, combined with Yoshi having the highest air speed, is disgusting.

- Same as Ike
- Long lasting hitboxes, multiple hits
- Can escape combos
- Combo starter, second hit can also kill at high percents.
