5. Dog Hunter
Dogs are cute, and this one comes paired with something just as cute: a duck. I'm not so big on the hunt aspect, though.
4. Wii Fit Train
They're too goofy not to love.

I love Animal Crossing, and it looks like these villagers are going to be pretty decent.
1. Koppaling
I'm glad the Koppalings are present. My favorite from them is Wendy, but I'm counting them all as my number one favorite newcomer. It looks like they have a really interesting play style.

6. Grenjia
It's like a Pokémon Sheik. I love Sheik.
7. Plutena
I had a hard time choosing between Grenjia and Plutena for my 6th favorite, but Grenjia won out because it's a Pokémon. I don't know much about KI, but she looks pretty unique.
8. Lucina
I like the idea of using magic and tomes and all that. At least (s)he's not purely a swordsman.
9. Mega Man
Mega Man is aight.
10. Doctor
Dr. Mario is fun. I don't care that he's a clone.
11. Chairzard (does it count as a newcomer?)
Chairzard is not one of my favorite Pokémon, but it's definitely not the worst newcomer.
12. Sheik
Sheik is unique, but from what I've seen he doesn't look like he's really my cup of tea.
13. Little Mack
Little Mack looks a little boring.
14. Robin
Should've just been a Marth alt. I don't know why FE got a fourth standalone rep.
15. Mii Fit Trainer
Simplified versions of the Mii Fitters would've been fine as just enemies in Multi-Man mode, but I don't like that they get three character slots. I would've been fine if they had made Mii the fighter and had 12 unique moves so it could function as the brawler, shooter, swordsman, or any combination of the three. Or if it had a moveset based on games that Miis have been in.
16. Dork Pit
Dork Pit is weird. Why isn't he just a Pit alt? I don't get it.

Overall, it's a good bunch of dudes.

1. Never imagined a third party character like Mega Man would become playable in Smash. Miracle work.
   
2. One character who I wanted that managed to get in. She's a fun character in Uprising with an actual personality that makes her entertaining to listen to.
   
3. A neat choice for a Pokemon newcomer. Looks fun to zip around with on the stage, and the noises he makes while fighting are hilarious.
   
4. Strange choice for a secret newcomer, but at least he has a unique moveset. Shame they made room for a 7th Mario character instead of a fan favorite. >_>
5. Her newcomer trailer surprised me last year. She looks really unique and fun to watch, although she might be a little complex for me to master.

Man, say what you want about the roster overall, but we got some really great newcomers. The ONLY ones I don't like are Dark Pit and Dr. Mario. I'm so happy with the others.

1. Character I've wanted in Smash Bros since 2001 and one of my favorite video game characters of all time.
2. Character that was knocked off my Brawl wishlist when people told me how dumb the idea was but I'm glad he finally made it.
3. The character that nobody wanted that trolled gamers worldwide. I love how she turned out as a fighter.
4. Next to Megaman, arguably the most deserving newcomer who made the cut.
5. My favorite character from Kid Icarus Uprising next to Medusa.

One of my all time favorite characters ever, and the only one I wanted in the game. I could go on about this, but that sums it up.

I originally lost hype for him when he wasn't in Brawl, but now that I've seen him with a unique non-paintbrush (cept the FS) moveset, I now like him again.

I agree. There's a few notable omissions, but I think we got some quality newcomers this time.

An awesome retro/obscure choice, one I wanted but didn't think really had a chance. Did an amazing job with him.

I'll admit, I've slowly come to despise everything about Rosalina lately. She's begun to be portrayed severely out of character from her Galaxy 1/2 appearances with an unbearable Peach-like personality and voice, and some of the more obsessive members of her fanbase have turned me off from the character almost entirely, but she seems to have been handled correctly in Smash Bros., so I actually want to use her for once.

Never played a Punch-Out game, but Little Mac grew on me as a character with his reworked look in Punch-Out Wii. The fact that he plays exactly like a boxer makes him that much more cool of a newcomer.

A character who was portrayed excellently in Smash. While slowly dissolving into a pile of crap elsewhere. He's heartwarmingly charming, has a great moveset, and is somehow very adorable.
2)
Interesting newcomer who is very charming and adds a "western cartoon" feel to the cast. I adore the dog and duck's cartoonish squash and stretch animation style. Not to mention that the zoning techniques look fun to pull off.
1)
The Koopalings are my absolute favorite Mario characters (not counting Waluigi), and for them to actually be in Smash is something I couldn't even fathom beforehand. Fun and creative moveset, and great characters that I actually like. Easily my most hyped newcomers.

Dr. Mario isn't a newcomer. He's a veteran. I've heard people say that since he was only in one game and skipped a game, he's somehow a newcomer. Do you say that a soldier who has only fought one war is not a veteran? I will not have Dr. Mario on this list for that reason.
