Ok. Well ive seen that there are two types of successful Fox's out there:

1.Those that U-Smash to get almost all of their kills.

2.Those that U-smash for most of the time but also gimp from time to time.

Yes i know that fox can't gimp some chars *cough mk* but I do believe that fox's gimping game is above average. Here's some of his options off the stage:

1. Shine Gimping (great on floaty chars like kirby)

2. Fire Fox gimping (not that effective but a good mix up)

3. rising dair (on chars with bad recovery you can follow this up with shine and there go's a stock.)

So tell me what you guys think. should fox hog the ledge more or what?

Er, what's the point of this thread?

Obviously, if you're in a good situation for a gimp, you should do it. If you want to talk about Fox's edgeguarding ability, then sure, but why wouldn't you gimp in a game where you got the chance?

I just want to walk off the stage and up-smash them while standing on techable absolute nothing.

This way I can gimp and up-smash at the same time.

Anyways.. kind of along what Zhamy said.. as a Fox player who is at least moderately good and is aware that Down-B is amazing, its usually always an amazing idea to try to steal an enemy's jumps or try to gimp them. Always be ready to tech the stage in the event of a counter attack. Off stage Shining really only occurs when you have the element of surprise though so it's not like its always valuable when an enemy is off stage.

Always try to seize the moment, but don't force it. That's against the law.
