Nah man the competitive scene is hella dumb.
Ok this thread is getting derailed fast. But first I have to say a few things to you. I am not sure if you are serious and if you are, then what are you doing on this site and more importantly this thread? That is all. Now back to the topic. What are your guys' opinions on the GC adapter? Will you be getting one? Or will you use the Pro Controller.

I may or may not spend money on the adapter.

If I do, it wouldn't be for myself, but for my friends and brother.

I, personally, no longer find the GC controller suitable for Smash. The controller is too small for my hands and it hurt like heck the last time I tried it. CCP or ProPad for me.

if you have any ideas about playing in a tourney, you have to use a gc controller

adapter will be much cheaper than buying wiiu pro too

I am totally chill with the layout feel and possible use of the Wii U Pro controller, but it is still wireless. Wires are needed for tournaments, it's fairly simple.

We've had people with the Wii Mote and Nun Chuck before just fine, if people WANT to use the Pro Controller they will and it won't be a big deal.

It was not fine. Wiimotes are now banned at a large amount of tournaments because a room full of 150~ wiimotes all trying to communicate with seperate wiis caused too much interference.

Wii Motes have never been banned at any big event I know of, players are just required to take the batteries out after matches. There have been some amazing Brawl players that use them even. If you can use them at Apex it's probably just fine.

Adapter is cheaper for me. Namely because I have no Pro Controllers, but I do have GameCube ones. That, and not a fan of batteries myself. Very annoying, especially with my limited cash flow.

I didn't know this forum was for that until a month after I joined. I'm only here for the pre hype of the game. I'm leaving once the game is out anyways.

I think Nintendo has gone to Plan C for themselves. If Nintendo keeps this up, Nintendo just might survive as long as Smash fans support them and they keep throwing out more Smash content.
