Toast to Symmetry (Unfinished Roughdraft)

This is to...
Every burning bridge..
Every good intention, usurped by our yearning sins...
Every person's universe, bound by broken axes that refuse to renounce thier spins...

And I...about face and embrace Destiny Magnet's magnificant attractions/
But societal conventions polarize/
I fold my eyes and picturize my themes/
But the Dreams are faster than the man who crafted, remixed and mastered em'/
A disparity case, classic/
The caged Raven sings,
with the abrasive cadence of sexually depraved maidens/
And it rings the eardrums until it stings/
Expand my wings in confined spaces/
Defiance in the eyes of compliance patrons/
Who redesign mindless nations of acceptance reliant vagrants/
It is.. that mason of directives/
To vagabonds in detention/
The projection mechanism,
for every slingshot in suspension/
My suggestion/
React prior to slips into descension/
Here, I offer a humble cup of ambition/
Relax, sit back, sip it black/

This is to...
The rose I picked for Loneliess/
The women that praise my openess/
The poem I wrote to Hopelessness/
And the felt tip that helped me focus it...

This is to...
Dryspells/
To Symmetry!/
To poets bereft of gimmickries/
(And all their subsequent imageries!)

The seesaw's an oscillating balance/
One end fosters my talents/
The opposite hosts my motivations,
and **** is that getting famished/
The hunger pain is aching/
And I've circled this writer's block for what seems like ages
in search of the caged poet society,
hoping for inspirations to decorate my pages/
Yo, my momma told me there'd be days like this/
(She'd say) "Pack an umbrella, don't be fooled by when the daylight's crisp"/
But when the Sun's shine is finally defied by that cloudburst's rebellious desires/
I'll feel compelled to traverse the resulting rainbow bridging the chasm,
between procrastinating habits and my passions/
(When I get around to it)
So what about Hope?/
Nope/
Hope tends have holes in its belly, like broken boats/
And it's true, that most let their ships capsize before provoked/
Prior to soaking in my neglect, I'll tighten the yolk around my throat [UNFINISHED]

* * * * * * * *

Aaaand, that's all I've got. I've been working on this one for a while and it kinda lost focus. Now I'm bored with it. I haven't written anything new and cohesive in a long while, and there's a few lines I actually like in there., so figured I might as well put it up and not completely waste them.

Peace.

Interesting read, very good imagery through out.
Although i couldn't help being reminded of an early 90's rap song... but thats mainly just do to the 'yo, my momma' line.

keep it up
