to fastfall or not to fastfall in shine combos

I was wondering, if you have the choice of fastfalling and arriving on the ground earlier than the opponent during a combo, should you take it? or should you just fall down with them at a normal rate..

for example, in dair to shine combos there are many places where you can follow alongside them after the dair and then shine at the bottom and it looks cooler..

but i would think you could fastfall to the ground and wait for them to arrive just as easily and then shine..

which is better?

always fastfall, because it gives them less of a chance to SDI the drill, which is very easy if you give them time.

Hmm...I need a shine combo for a sheik starting at 0 percent. Like, I look at combo videos on youtube and can't find anything. Yet I keep hearing on smashboards that "shine combos **** sheik".

like for example, starting at 0, I can do this to a fox:
dair to shine, wavedash or short hop out of shine, follow up with another shine, then 2 more shffl dairs to shines, combo created.
right now my combos against sheik at 0 is shine to full jump out of shine, mid-air shine to bair/nair. not as damage dealing as I've heard of shine combos on sheik going all the way to 60.

try dair to up-tilt if you dont expect cc from sheik, or any character in general.

I used to have trouble fast falling after a dair because I wasn't using the c-stick to do my dairs. Simple solution haha

definitely fast fall it. When your opponent hits the ground you can then have more time to shine,d-tilt,f-smash, or anything else you can think of to kill or further combo your opponent.

shien combos on shiek at 0 are cake dude...its my staple...dair or nair into shine wd dair utilt shine bair... its fun

There's never a reason to not fast fall unless to switch up your shield pressure. If you don't fast fall you're just giving your opponent more frames to input DI, react, or for you to mess up.
