Tips for playing Battlefield stages?

I’m actually awful at playing the Battlefield stages. Not only do I use a large character, but I have trouble getting on and off the platforms safely, and it’s seems like people can hit me through the platforms sometimes. I can’t really edgeguard like I can on an Omega stage, and it’s just frustrating cause I lose most of my matches on them.

Any help?

I'm having the same issue, although not just with large characters. The platforms just get in my way too often and I can't get through them safely or, more importantly reliably. When I'm right above someone when I'm on a platform and they spam up tilts, I can't find a safe way to either punish or get back down. If I go over and around they just follow on ground while I try to get through a platform or if I go the edge they can edge guard me. It's very frustrating.

Pick a fighter that takes advantage of sharking (hitting players from under platforms or the stage) if you plan on using battlefield form. Most large fighters benefit from sharking this way since their hitboxes extend upwards and over. Characters with multiple jumps such as Pit or King Dedede benefit from being able to stall under the stage and throw an aerial move up and over as well as being able to move/camp around the platforms.

I don't get to decide what stage I play on though, and I'm not always playing characters who can do that.
