Tips for Fighting Sheik

YES. I have seen VANZ's thread, but the sheik i fight always approaches and grabs, which he didnt explain to do/not to do. Does anyone have tips? I keep treating it like a fox matchup, and lose.

Sheik's approach is bad. She has so limited options. Let her approach

Her approaches are usually grabs, dash attacks, and fairs. To avoid dash attacks, i know i can float or CC, but how do i get away from grabs?

Melee, and perhaps all fighting games, have a rock-paper-scissors game of shield-grab-attack
attack > grab
grab > shield
shield > attack

How often are you in shield? Are you blocking with attacks enough?

Use down smash more on reaction/prediction to approach. You'll created a wall of a hitbox that lasts like an entire second. But down't use down smash for spacing

If you happen to be standing still right next to your opponent, jab. It hits on frames 2 and 3 and it's pretty disjointed

And don't forget to abuse spacing with float fair. So much disjoint and no lag. It can be used to space against anything. Now that I thing about it, Peach has a lot of moves that aren't specific to any situation. You can use anything for anything

I think the mistake i make is that i shield when sheik approaches, because im afraid of Fairs when i float.

the shiek i fight is just wavelanding and perfect wavedashing everywhere. my peach cant keep up but what i am finding out is that low bairs are pretty good against shiek

This is late, but an important thing to remember is that Sheik's moves are, for the most part, very vulnerable to CC until she reaches 40-45%. So if you find that they're approaching you with aerials a lot, then CC more at low percent.
