The fact that in hindsight, a number of those matches that could've been saved and uploaded as replays (potentially; read: all of the matches that we played) are just straight campfests just made me lol.

For what it's worth, I have about 5 GB of that processing at the moment.

I recorded literally every match as we played them.

So I've been lurking for quite a while but decided I'd at least finally introduce myself here. I've not been one to really have much to contribute but I figure after being in the shadows for so long I could say at least something.

Anyways, hello! I go by SpeedBump and Smash 4 has been the first game I've ever really considered a Smash title I wanted to be more serious about (having created this account during Apex). I've played all the other Smash games but mostly for fun with friends, even when we'd do 1v1s and stuff. I've never been to a tournament though I'm working up the courage to look into a scene that isn't too far from where I live.

On the 3DS I was initially finding RosaLuma to be one of my favorite characters (she still is!). However, I really rediscovered how much I love Robin...so much so I made him my main! (White Mage Robin for life ).

I've also been playing a lot of , , and .

I think that's a sufficiently long introduce. I may not be around a whole lot, but I figure this should suffice as an introduction so I don't appear as a poster from out of nowhere. Thanks!

If there's one thing I can credit Awakening for, it's having Chrom be able to recruit all the available enemy units.

Main things:

1) Work on fluid movement. I was basically running circles around you.
2) Work on saving your double-jump and mixing up your recovery options.
3) Try not to rely solely on airdodge to get back down to the ground. Elwind is a great mix-up option that can at the very least give you a second shot at landing.
4) Make sure you keep pressure on when you DO land the hit. Several times you had me off the ground and instead of pressuring to trap my landing, you just backed up and let me land safely. You need to capitalize on every possible punish.
5) Try not to roll so much. I tagged a TON of your rolls with meaty Thoron on reaction.
6) Grab. I don't think you grabbed me more than a small handful of times. Especially pivot grabs.
7) Arcfire traps landings all day. If they're looking like they want to land in a specific spot, put fire there!

I think that covers.... most of the major stuff for the moment.

The berserk status is so annoying in Fire Emblem. I'm really glad they do not have it in awakening. I guess it wouldn't really work very well with pair up anyways.

In other random news, American Pharaoh won the Belmont Stakes to become the first horse to win the Triple Crown in 37 years.

Holy ****... Doing the Charger Challenge on the Final Boss in Splatoon is HARD. I am NOT looking forward to taking that guy on with the Roller..

I suppose if you're a dedicated masochist and you've cancelled your 3 PM flogging running that challenge makes a decent replacement. Sometimes I wonder if it or the limited ink challenge on the invisible walkways is worse.

@SkarmNightmare (Brett) : I've gotta call it for tonight I think. I'm tired as hell now. I don't usually do that many sessions right in a row, I'm a bit fried. I can find sometime on Monday or Tuesday probably, but for tonight I need to rest.

I know it applies across the board, but with rollers it feels doubly applicable.

Other matchups, not so bad. That one is EXTREMELY mentally draining.

I...honestly can't fight the same character for 2 hours straight, no matter what character it is.

The closest I got to was my friend's , I think, and even so we only played 40 minutes straight.

Smash 4 I haven't honestly played the matchup a ton, but I am leaning towards Fire Wall being the pick of choice.

True. Though, it made 'em all the more important to keep alive and train to recruit said unit.

Awakening was a nice change of pace.

With all the gems and seals you get you should be able to get the money, tho. I know I sold a Ocean Seal I wasn't going to use in my gameplay to recruit her.

Also, I think you can talk to her again to give her the money if you recuse the first time?

I had a spare Body Ring I wasn't going to use and a chunk of anima tomes I wasn't going to use since Serra and Canas are my magic users for this squad, so getting the money was easily done.

Would you agree with me that Lylat Cruise is a favorable stage for Link in the MU?

Yes, 100%.

Would definitely ban, probably the most likely ban out of all of the stages we played on. Kongo being the other contender probably? But that isn't legal everywhere.

Since I'm running Fire Wall for that MU, the platforms hinder me more than help me, and Link definitely has the stronger and more flexible ground control, since his Bombs and Boomerang are even aided by the curvature of the stage, rather than hindering it.
