Got a crap ton of replays queued up for upload, so while I'm listening to a vid, I'll write things about Dedede.
So, I lost the first.....5 or 6 games, I think, just figuring out how Gordos work, what Dedede has that is and isn't safe, and deciding which customs are the best choice against Dedede. After I got a handle on the match-up, I won the lion's share of the games. (Maybe 80% after I settled into the matchup pace)
Settled on 3111. I tried Fire Wall in a few games (since it makes reflecting Gordos hilariously easy), but found that Arcfire was simply too good against D3 in the long run.
Speed Thunder, when not staled, can bounce back a Gordo with even its lowest version (Fresh Thunder does 2%), and extremely easily with Elthunder (5%) or simply clearing the whole screen with Thoron. Dedede basically cannot camp you when you're running Speed Thunder. Arcfire only bounces on the final hit, so you need to close the gap and aim to trade, if you're going to use it to combat Gordos.
After messing around with a ton of different interactions, and trying varying degrees of aggression, I came to the answer. Dedede
cannot deal with the camp game. Robin has ridiculously strong horizontal space control against him, between the Thunder variants and Arcfire. Arcfire in particular completely shuts him down. His main way of actually closing distance against people is to run in, powershield, and then do something. That outright just doesn't work against Arcfire, and he doesn't run fast enough to slide through it like some characters can.
You can literally just chuck plasma at him, and if he jumps to try to get over it, you jump up and Fair him. He simply cannot challenge it at all, since his Fair swings overhead and his Nair doesn't have any disjoint.
That's literally all you need to do in neutral. I messed around with using SH Nair some, but Dedede can punish with F-tilt OoS even if perfectly spaced, so it's actually not particularly useful in this MU.
Once you have Dedede on the ledge, you just put Arcfire on the ledge and there's literally nothing he can seemingly do about it. He can't jump AROUND it, he's too large to use a normal get-up or ledge-jump, and you can cover the roll with relative ease. Rinse and repeat, there's almost nothing he can do about it.
On the flipside, if Dedede does get Robin offstage, he does have the reach to prevent Robin from defending herself with Fair as easily. Shrooby worked some nasty Gordo -> Fair options selects that took a bit to work out. The end conclusion I came to was to recover low, from below the ledge. Dedede has to telegraph pretty hard if he's going to try to Bair you, because of his slow movement and startup on Bair.
Being above Dedede on-stage is also not particularly threatening. His Uair is slow to start-up, so you can just react to him trying to juggle you with Elwind, and float to safety. Or just float to safety, if he doesn't challenge. As soon as you get to his horizontal level just Arcfire and you're safe.
That's.... about all I really have to say. I'd say it's probably +1 Robin, maaaaaybe +2. Realistically, +1. Little closer without customs, since you can't camp him nearly as easily, but Arcfire still does hella work.
I'll link the session (1hr40mins) once it finishes uploading.
