Tilt sticking was still in my control setting from my previous main Ike.
I used it so that i could runoff-dair without fastfalling, but I wonderd if it was worth keeping with Samus. Or is smash stick or Bsticking better?

I heard that with Smashstick you can survive longer by the useage of smashDI + regular DI.

I can't speak for Ike, since I don't use Ike. It seems like that's a good option for Ike, though, from seeing what you said. So, I guess if you set your C-stick to T-stick, it'd be preferable for a character like Ike. It may also be useful for Pit as well. However, with Samus, I'd go with the original C-stick. Another controller configuration might be Tap Jump off, though some prefer it on. For me, I only have Tap Jump off, simply because I never liked using Samus' u-air in one long jump, and because I use Pit as a secondary, so Arrow Looping won't look weird.

Pika?
Tap jump off makes samus worse IMO. UP-B OOS is amazing, and with Tap-J off it negates it. I also have T-sticking on since i never used the C-stick anyway, so my dairs are not fast-fell, and i love FF Fair to down T-stick.

yeah my question was mostly wheither samus had an edge with run-off Dair as well. But I don't think so since she isn't that floaty;p

Also yeah tapjump = must, upB out of shield pretty much rocks all around like ESAM said =)

thanks all!

you can also not fast fall your dairs by running off the stage with the control stick down forward rather than just forward (like in that little notch) It counts as if you were already holding down

I know but in tight situations that could end rather...bad. One miss click = bb samus
The diffirence is though that Samus doesn't fall that fast and hasn't as bad a recovery as ike to deal with the FastFall.

I used to tilt stick, and I liked it a lot. But I eventually changed to smash sticking just because tilt-sticking is a little glitchy for me. It just makes me jump if I don't hit it just right. The benefit wasn't worth the risk of me unintentionally jumping every third or fourth time I hit it.
