I have a question about it. What exactly is it? I have seen people talk about it on the smash boards and seen some videos but I don't quite get the concept. Does it have something to do with reducing lag time for your aerial attacks? Can someone show me a video or something on how to do this?

Thunderstorming basically is reducing the lag on Dair but it also revovles around doing multiple Dairs, sometimes two or even three if your good, in a single bound. It's litterally one of Ganon's most important move and it's a basic for any Ganon mainer.

The vid is wrong about why Thunder Storming works, but it shows you everything you need to know.

Thunderstorming is autocanceling the D-air. The D-air has just a few frames in its animation where there is ZERO landing lag. These can only be activated from a buffered SH D-air. Don't know what a buffered aerial is? It's when you initiate an aerial attack IMMEDIATELY after pressing the jump button. During the jump startup frames, the aerial command will be buffered and will execute on the first frame you leave the ground. It's possible, but much more difficult to actually wait for the first frame you leave the ground and then input the aerial.

This is a VERY important concept to learn when you transition from Melee to Brawl. In Melee, you have to wait for your jump to start before you input aerials. You don't need to do this in Brawl, and for many characters it is IMPORTANT to get out aerials on the first frame from leaving the ground since there is no L-canceling.

Thnderstorming is basically cancelling out Ganondorf's Dair and doing them multiple times in a row. I don't think any of his other aerials do the same, but if you do aerials as you approach the floor, lag time is increased, so since Ganondorf has a small short hop, execute the aerial as soon as you leave the ground.

That video of the other lagless attacks doesn't provide any new information. Uair approaching has been known for a while, but it's much better in its RAR (reverse aerial rush) form. Bair approaching is also a decent idea, but compared to the glory days of melee's bair approach, it suffers. I haven't given up hope on SHFF bair approach, though...perhaps with enough lateral movement. Does anyone remember PC-Chris's meleedorf? Jesus christ...my hero. It pains me that he barely ever shows up to NYC Brawl tournaments, and when he does, he's not maining ganon. Last I saw, it was snake.

Don't turn this into a Melee Ganon > Brawl Ganon thread, Hyper. d:

Actually, I played Melee yesterday, and my god Ganondorf was amazing in there. Everything I always wanted to work in Brawl actually WORKS in there.

But yeah, Thunderstorming is just doing the lagless dair. I made up the name for it way back, when Shin was actually around. Spamming 'Thunder Stomp' (the name of the move in Melee) = Thunderstorm.

Yeah, we're all a bunch of Brawl playing, self-deprecating masochists knowing that Melee ganon is somewhere out on the streets, just barely scrapping by. Brawl ganon will have his day.

Ganondorf is easily the best character for schooling novices who think they're someone!
Both in theory AND mentaly ^_^

Thunderstorm x3 > Down angled Fsmash (assuming they're on the ground)
It's a 0% to death string near the Vertical Blast zones...
And since they don't know how to tech/airdodge/or nair your attacks this a garantued humaliaton >=oD

Yet.. this is only ONE of his novice destroyers..

He's easily the best novice killer in the game ;)
