when pit uses his recovery, i've heard that it will go forever as long as you keep mashing the "b" button. is it true, cuz that would be awesome.

No, it isn't true.

No recovery can go for an indefinate amount of time.

Wow that would be broken...but also hilarious. Pit Vs Ike, timed match, shoot an arrow, hit and then stall off the edge for 8 minutes. Good times.

On a helpful note,

Mashing B only causes you to rise faster and higher then you normally would.

Rob's recovery does not last forever, it only goes about as high as pit's recovery. on top of all that he has meter like gauge that only allows rob to fly high when the fuel is at max
which takes a few seconds or so to come back. So if rob has low fuel it barely even goes that high.
