How can I enjoy a game where 90% of the cast is worthless? It is very undeserving of the fanbase it has now, and this "elitist" fanbase is the worst of the worst egotistical maniacs. It pisses me off. You dive in, pick a character, and lose all of your matches, and most of you "Melee elitists" don't even play the damn game. All you do is sit in front of your monitor and watch other people play it. Melee would have died if it wasn't for the likes of Mango, Mew2King, Armada, PPMD, and HungryBox. If they weren't playing, you wouldn't give a flying **** about Melee, but now you've become overly privileged, spoiled little brats. 90% of the time, you pick a character with a completely broken move, and when you lose, all you do is John about "your moves are stupid broken" even though you were doing that exact thing you said you hated. Then you bash other games for "not having wavedashing." News flash, wavedashing shouldn't exist. You guys are spoiled to the point where you compare all Smash games to Melee, and you immediately boycott it, the reason being "It's not Melee." Who gives a **** if it's not Melee? A 15 year old game should not have to be the standard for video games. It's outdated, unbalanced to ****, and certainly not worth the popularity it has. You don't even care about the game. You only came here to see the "drama" of Melee. It's turning into Wrestling all over again. This fanbase has single handedly turned itself into a cancerous tumor that will never go away.

Balance is good and make a better competitive game. Tiers are bad and should be considered trolling.

Hey there! Unfortunately I'm going to have to lock your thread.

First of all, this is the Project M forum, and not the Melee forum, which seems to be where your ire is directed.

Secondly, even if it were posted in the Melee forum, there's not too much to constructively discuss here. Perhaps you're genuinely frustrated with the Melee community's elitism, but what response do you hope to garner by aggressively attacking its fanbase? Calling it a cancerous tumor is only going to incite inflammatory remarks. There's nothing wrong with liking Melee. I don't personally play it anymore but how do you expect for the Melee community to respect your taste in Smash titles if you don't do the same? Melee and Smash 4 have been co-existing in the tournament scene for quite some time now, it's pretty rare for people to be disrespectful to either in-person these days. Head to a tournament and stay off of Reddit and Twitch chats and you may find some friendly people in the Melee scene.
