You might need to pre order it. I'll probably end up not doing it, though.

he's talking about the British Pound, not the Euro.

if you can pre-order, just do it. you only have to put down a few bucks.
Ah, in that case, my apologies. I know nothing of pounds.

But really, I think it's just easier for me to go get it on the release date. I'm sure I'll be able to get one. I won't be camping out but it doesn't take much effort to drive up to Gamestop a half hour before it opens with a nice warm breakfast and sit in my nice warm car listening to nice warm music until it opens. I'd probably end up being the first (or one of them) person to get Brawl that day anyway. :D

I seriously don't think Brawl is going to sell out on the first day. Even if it does, it'll only be in the major stores. I really see no point in pre-ordering it when my money could be better spent towards Mario Galaxy or something else at this time. If Brawl was still coming out on the 3rd THEN I would have pre-ordered it by now because the Christmas rush would assure its sell out, but that's not the case anymore. February is quite a ways away right now.

I don't need to reserve to get it on the release date, but I reserved it anyway.

I live in such a remote place that I cannot see the game being sold out. To put it in perspective, there were no campers for a Wii, it actually took a few days for them to sell out. The PS3 didn't even sell down here...

You mean the PS3 sold at all?

But seriously, I live in the third largest city in Alabama (which is like a small town anywhere else? XD), I expect it to sell out here, or at least be difficult to find.

my situation is that:

1)I don't drive.

2) the closest gamestop is 30 miles away. all I really have are Wal-Mart and K-Mart.
thats all i really do. just go to wal-mart and buy it. its probably not gonna sell out to fast especially if you live in tiny town.

ponder this--if so many people are going to preorder, then wouldnt there be a small amount of people just going to a store to get it? i wouldnt preorder.

EDIT: does anyone know if brawl will have a midnight release?

I doubt Brawl will sell out everywhere within hours. I pre-ordered a copy at a nearby Gamestop just in case there happens to be a line or something at least I'll know that I'm guaranteed a copy at that store. I can't wait. :chuckle:

If you want to assure yourself and sleep soundly at night knowing you'll play brawl the second it hits stores, I'd reserve it. I don't trust Nintendo's ability to keep supply. I stood in line to reserve a Wii just so I could get it on opening day, and I did.
I didn't reserve a Wii, but I still got one on launch day....it just required me and my friend to wake up at 3:30 a.m. and drive to the mall to wait in line for 7 or 8 hours :)
