There's finally a console tourney in the South East

Craziest ****ing thing is I used to live in St. Andrews. Venue will probably get changed to someplace more real if enough people sign up. There's a Wii U bracket as well and strangely... no melee.

This is it! Get ready for the first annual Super Smash Bros. Social! I just got done with a Super Smash Bros. tournament and I was so ready for another one that I thought I would just host my own!
Venue is subject to change depending on the amount of people who RSVP so get the word out there!

Here's the down low;
There will be two main tournaments:
1. Super Smash Bros for Wii U
and
2. Super Smash Bros 64

(I have a melee setup so if more than 8 sign up for it, we can have a melee tourney. But for now we will just stick to the Wii U and 64 version.)

There is a $10 minimum entrance fee. The first place prize for both Wii U and 64 is a MINIMUM OF $50 and will go up from there! The cash prize will increase with more submissions as the entirety of the entrance fees goes toward the pot.

There will be Pizza and Soda for $1 per slice and $1 per can of soda.

Not only that, T shirts are being made for purchase to commemorate this glorious event! More details on the shirts will be posted below.

Price for entry is $10 until the 27th of March! After that, it will go up to $15 so hurry and prepay! If paying before the 27th, you can do so using paypal. Just make the payment out to dinofavarajr@gmail.com

If paying after the 27th you can either pay at the door, email me and try and meet up with me on campus, or use paypal whichever is easiest for you!

Rules for Smash 64:
-5 stock, No Time Limit, Items off, 2/3 Games (3/5 for Top 8)
-Starter Stages: Hyrule Castle, Dream Land
-Counter-pick stages: Peach's Castle, Congo Jungle

I definitely think 10 bucks is kinda pricey but it least it'll make that GF set twice as intense.

@ lord narwhal I hear you dude but I made a 20 hour drive to Zentih and got ****ing bodied for all my effort and it was still worth it overall. Just getting to meet other people who are as passionate about this game as I am was an amazing experience. Try hitting up @ Sedda or @Studstill or somebody else for ride sharing to make it less boring / costly.

I really think it will be an amazingly great time to get all the south east 64 enthusiasts under one roof to finally duke it out on console, the way the game was meant to be played. Plus Athens is just a great place to visit: very chill, great restaurants and bars, and everything is really easy to get to. Hope to see as many of you there as possible!

As far as housing goes, the TO has already confirmed he can house "2-3 people, maybe more if they don't mind sleeping on the floor" which I bet y'all wouldn't. I know a jillion people in Athens who have housed bands and stuff before so I am really very confident I can get you all places to stay, I just need people to start RSVPing so we can finalize these plans.

Let's do this ****, smashers. This is the moment the South East has been waiting for. Throw off the shackles of the MDVA, Tri State and Chicago scenes lording it over us that we don't have any good tournaments or players (besides Wizzy).

Not only is it a smash tournament but Athens is one of the most fun college towns you can go to. $1 shots beers and mixed drinks until 11pm at awesome bars that are loaded with the hottest college sluts you'll ever find. Hot chicks outnumber guys so it's like a shopping spree that costs $1 a drink.
