talk as you will, i know that people can use Yoshi's n-b can release, but used in the fashion like this(similar to Mewtwo in melee) i think its got great potential.

The difference is yoshis tongue gets outranged by a lot of stuff, and yoshi doesnt have a teleporting up b like mewtwo, or one that can save him at all

why are we comparing mewtwo to yoshi first of all mewtwo was utter crap lmao.

And yeah, this is pretty old, though if you can do it consistently I'm impressed.

This was found out since day 1 of the game's release. We deemed it useless due to the fact that the move was a 1 frame window that had yoshi's tongue retract to him after the normal grab hitbox reached it's maximum limit. This made things even harder because opponents would need to actually be closer to you for the one frame (while they are out of range for the previous frame).

Notice that all the characters are in nearly the exact same placement for egg lay to cancel. It easily has potential (giving Yoshi about half a second to hit anyone), but it's a requirement that's too unreliable to land consistently.
