They should've done this in the first place since they didn't have a hard drive.

Nice, simple solution. I still have some space left so I wont need to worry about this until I get more games (seeing the confrence, that's going to be soon).

I'm still somewhat confused about the solution.

I mean, I know future games will be able to save directly on the SD card, but what about some of the other games I currently have?

Yeah, that's a cheap and non-annoying way to fix what shouldn't have been a problem.

Nintendo is just too lame to realize that memory cards aren't needed, and a hard drive is.

Wow imagine how many screenies I could take.

But honestly how many of you have 2gig of dl'ed stuff?
For the Wii, 2 gigs should work absolutely fine (that is the largest size SD card it'll read, correct?). If this were the 360 or PS3 though, 2 gigs wouldn't be anywhere near enough. I have almost 4 gigs of Rock Band songs alone.

Like most SD card readers, it has the stated limit of 2 GBs, but then the in-practice limit of around 8. What it needs now is a firmware update providing SDHC support. That'd rock.

Finally, Nintendo does something sensible!

Though they'll most likely have something inbuilt into that update to remove the new Homebrew Channel. D:

Well, I've never had to delete any of my channels to download a new one yet, but my VC collection is slowly growing, so this will be of help when it's released. :)

They promised us that their solution would be better than a hard drive.

One question:

How is this better than a hard drive?
