He's from one of the best and most popular Eshop titles to date. He has tons of items for specials and armor for alternate colors. On top of that, Nintendo hosted the game at their SDCC panel. A bit more unlikely than some of the Nintendo-owned characters, I feel like it wouldn't be too hard to get permission to use this guy. And heck, maybe they could add Plains of Passage or Flowers of Antimony to the soundtrack. So let's rally together and get this blue third-party character (wait...) into the fight! For Shovelry!

I'm totally FOR Shovel Knight. He's iconic, he's cool, he's unique, he's from a great game and is closely associated with Nintendo by design and by being available for Nintendo consoles from the start.

Moveset ideas:

Neutral B: Flare Rod. Sends a straight fireball projectile towards the foe. Can be charged like Greninja's Shurikens
Side B: Shovel knight flying horizontally towards the foe. If it collides with an object, he does a small hop backwards. fall speed becomes faster after use, but can be used multiple times.
Anchor Rod: Combing 2 relics this time, Shovel arcs his trusty anchor in an arc, damaging foes. Connected to it is his fishing rod, so if the anchor snags an edge, he can pull himself up.
Down B: Phase Locket: Shovel Knight holds up a phase locket, sensing an incoming attack. If hit, he disappears and delivers a might blow with his Shovel Blade from behind the opponent.

Final Smash: CATCH HER! The stage changes to a pure whit area and enemies begin to fill the room, attacking opponents. Shield knight will also begin falling from the sky. Catching Shield knight will inflict 20 damage to all foes, sending everyone back to the real stage as they fly off.
