The Villager

Any tips for fighting this guy? I get zoned out for days and edgeguarded with trees and other stuff.
but im just looking for what you guys think you should do against him.
I have a friend whos really good with Villager and its ticking me off.

Dude, you are not alone. I have a real tough time getting in when Villager is just spamming slingshot, Lloid rocket, and camping at his precious little tree. And it seems nearly impossible to gimp him.

yeah, if I hit a dair on him, it usually only pops one of his baloons. Such an odd recovery
