No way Waddle Dee is the big E3 reveal. They need someone who is going to generate big hype, and no offense to Waddle Dee, but it's not him.

I'm also doubtful that we'd see yet another Kirby character included when there's three already, but it is Sakurai, so who knows.

Honestly, if that rumor was true and Waddle Dee and Mii are the only characters shown, my hype would die so hard. Like, that's really a move Nintendo doesn't need to make. I understand if people really want those characters, but really, they're very, very boring choices for building hype. They're more of an "Oh, ok, that's cool" type reveal. It'd be very difficult to build up those two particular characters to be interesting, whereas with:

K. Rool, Palutena, Ridley, Takamaru, Mac, Mega Man, Mewtwo, any of those really, have greater hype-building potential. I don't even mean to sound biased, but there's a reason those characters are the most popular choices.

This just in, my great grandfather's brother's neighbor is best friends with Iwata's sister's gardener and because it is the year of Luigi, every single character in the roster will be replaced with Luigi. Each Luigi will retain his original moveset from the character he was transformed into. This leak is 100% true... I need to move now or the Nintendo trained Spy Assassins will catch up to me.

Amen to that. Nintendo would have to be insane to headline Smash's unveiling to the world with those guys. Mii, maybe, but Waddle Dee? Definitely not. Kirby's already got enough representation that Waddle Dee really isn't anything to get super excited over; even ZSS was still a form of Samus and was another character for a severely underrepresented franchise.

Charizard becoming playable is comparable to people wanting specific assist trophies to become playable. Waddle Dee becoming playable is comparable to people wanting Toad to become playable considering they're part of a moveset, and it'd require Dedede and Peach to get new moves to replace those. Waddles Dees are better off as Dedede's attack imo, even being the big Kirby fan I am I have to admit that.

It's not the generic Waddle Dee that Dedede throws. It's Bandana Dee.

I believe it's comparable to Charizard, because Waddle Dees in Brawl have a bit of AI, less than an assist trophy, but more than a Pokémon from a pokéball.
