The email account I made it with was deleted from under-use.i thought you did have facebook =S
As soon as I get an intuos4 I'm going to be drawing on photoshop. All of the advantages and none of the weaknesses *evil laugh*i can only draw guitars now.. i used to be able to draw other things.. then photoshop happened.. and i said to myself..
"why draw when the computer can do it for me"
same can be applied to math, music and sex.
Thanks, shading wasn't my strongest area when it came to drawing. I'll see if I can practice on basic shapes then take it to my drawings.i thought you did have facebook =S
you're a winner to me <3
yeah it's a drawing
I think it's good =D Keep working on it
don't depend on hard outlines and play around with shading
don't be afraid to start out with light, loose, freehand lines and work on stuff from there
also, sharpen your pencil regularly lol
I tried. I really did.you could try my deviant art account under the same name.
EDIT: **** double post.
I'll take your advice and whip up something right now, I'll draw Mario or something.Aha
You're good for a beginner. Practice is really all you need right now. But I'm bored so I might as well go for a full critique; praise and criticism, you can't get better without both.
First off, consistancy and line work.
Your lines are too heavy. Be careful when you draw out lines, make light guidelines first, and then darken them later. Keep your pencil sharpened and take your time on important lines to keep them smooth and sharp.
When you shade in areas, keep your lines at the same angle to get a smoother shaded area. Also make sure to keep shading consistant throughout the entire drawing, example, Link's face and hat rim are the only parts shaded in the picture. It makes it look unfinished.
When drawing a full figure like the falco or the dude with headphones, try to plan out the drawing space as well as you can. It can be hard to take something that's in your head and put it on paper, so planning helps.
It's good to see you breaking from the standard 'egyptian style' 2-d figure with the guy with tthe headphones. The easiest way to make a drawing look better is to have an interesting pose.
Draw closer objects as bigger, and draw objects at an angle as shorter. Foreshortening can go a long way to giving more of a three dimensional feel.
Pretty much the best way for you to get better is to draw more. I can see you getting a lot better with time.
Now for my nit-picks;
- Don't do work on lined paper. :[ It just seems like such a waste... Even if it starts out as a doodle and turns out better than you expected, that only means that you could have done a better job if you tried.
- Try not to suggest shading with a line, like on the link drawing.
- Unless specifying a texture, try keeping your lines continuous.
