The Ultimate Wtf! Why Do You Think These People Aren't In Brawl

some people have said that some vets aren't returning to brawl. i am going to list all of the ones that I KNOW will return becuase...WTF why shouldn't they be in just because you hate them. i can't stand everyone saying these guys aren't in. after you read them and their reasons discuss and give me one reason besides you hating them that they shouldn't be in.

Ice Climbers- i just had to put this on a good note first since they were confirmed and some people thought they wouldn't make it so haha.

Captain Falcon- if anyone thinks he isn't in then wtf. nuff said.

Ness- he has been in since the beginning. who cares if sakurai was gonna replace him with lucas. he's an original and if ice climbers are in, then he is. as for lucas, why not make him an alternate costume? if he's gonna have the exact same moveset then gee why not.

Mr. Game and Watch- yeah well sakurai loves him and he's got a super original moveset. plus check out that smash icon discovery thread. that's obvious evidence he's in.

Mewtwo- he was the best 1st gen pokemon ever. who cares if he had the worst tier ever. he can be fixed. and lucario?!? how's he gonna replace mewtwo? they are completely different and mewtwo is a legendary. he is also a more well known pokemon than lucario.

Marth- he is plain awesome. original moveset and he is the face of fire emblem. he's a well known, famous war lord so he's not going anywhere. and for all you people who say he looks like ike..... how does a gay looking dude look anything like ike?

Ganondorf- just had to list him. he's in and if you don't think so then your high.

Falco- he's fox's main man. he's fox's luigi. he's in. just give him a new moveset it's not hard. make wolf a clone not falco again.

Young Link- he is pretty much his own character. almost every zelda game has young link. he's pretty much made a name for himself and is his own character. vary his moveset to more of a "young link" one.

the other clones are screwed so too bad for those guys. and sheik........even i don't have an argument for her so she's 50 50.

Personally I play Marth because he's just cool and fun to destory my friends with. And don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing Ike or Roy or ANYONE. I'm just saying don't use the excuse "Marth looks like a girl" or "Marth is 'gay'" as a reason why he SHOULDN'T be in Brawl...*rant over* Thank you for your time.

Ness will return and Lucas will be a clone. There will be clones simply to fill spots and have more characters at the end.

I see all of them returning except I see Young Link taking on Wind Waker form, however they may keep young link as the name. Either way it doesn't bother me because WW Link in a way seems similar to Young Link from Melee anyways.

Marth or Roy will make it back, has different move set then Ike. Could be Roy simply on the fact that he looks a lot different then Ike... However I believe one of the two will return.

Jigglypuff will be back... too well loved.

Mewtwo will make return due to his popularity in Pokemon, however I expect a lot of change.

Game and Watch will be back.

Pichu is the main one to get cut. Pichu IMO was the weakest of the characters and most least liked...

I agree with this poster. Plus Marth doesn't look necessarily "gay," he has that medieval princely look partly because he probably is about 16 or so in that picture and young well keep boys a long time ago looked sorty like girls today with their innocent faces. However, personality wise, they were far from being feminine.

yes i know this is character discussion so my bad, didn't read the topic? how is WW link his own character when he and young link are the exact same? WW link is a "young" link. he is just cel-shaded. all the links in the games have been a young link or a link so he's in, cel-shaded or not. my thread actually says why i think the characters are in and only talks about the vets from melee who people don't think will return.

Even if I'm 50/50 about Young Link.. I wouldn't care if he is in or not.
It confuses me as much as you when others say the vets won't return.. especially ones from the SSB64.
Ness WILL return. Smash won't be the same without him.. it would be like if someone cut out a piece from a masterpiece painting which everyone who has seen it has gotten used to seeing it and then whoever cut it out tried to cover it over with something completely different.
I'm even expecting Dr. Mario to return as a alternate costume or something.

Anyway, I pretty much agree with most of your points.

The big things I disagree with are Young Link because he is FAR too much of a clone character. He and Adult Link are both the same character, while WW Link on the other hand was a different character. It'd just make more sense to me.

marth was the original not the clone. and roy was stuck in to promote his new game anyway. so give a legit reason why marth is out not he's gay looking. and falcon is obviously gonna be in so we'll see when he's put on the website. i'm gonna put 2007 was wrong.

thank you for pointing that out to everyone who disagrees with marth. i was only using the he looks gay thing as a way of showing people that he looks completely different than ike except for blue hair.

the problem with Ike and Marth was, when I first saw Ike, I actually thought it was Marth.

@Bajef8: Ike and Marth are far too look-alike. besides, there's only 101 ways to swing a sword. Marth does 104, so he's illegal.

I personally wouldn't mind just making Roy an alternate 'version' of Marth that's easily accessible, and simply switches the names and the sounds he creates.

I do like Roy more than Marth...

But that's because I'm a sucker for the delicious weapon that is the Sealed Sword. Heck, Roy could heal himself with it in the GBA game...

Anyways.

Who's gone is gone, and we won't know just WHO is gone, if anyone, until the game comes out or Sakurai himself tells us. Chiiiiiiiiiiiiill.

I can't believe some people say good ol' J-Puff shouldn't come back! She's pretty much a staple! Been in Smash since the beginning, and is known for always being that "first unlocked character". Not to mention she's one of my mains too, lol.

i agree wit Bajef8. i am almost completely positive that they are going to keep all the chars from the past SSB games. they have no reason to take any chars out 1. bcuz they put them in the game for a reason, alot ppl have 2 like the chars alrdy in the game (or else they wldnt put em in there) and their goal isnt 2 dissapoint the ppl who they kno use the chars. and 2. they THEY DONT HAVE 2 TAKE ANY1 OUT!!! thats what ppl dont seem to realize. i honestly dont even kno y the rumors even started. they didnt take any1 out from SSB to SSBM y would they for this. they arent limited to a certain # of characters they can have in the game. they could have as many as they like and it would make no sense if they removed anybody and they would ultimately be hurting themselves.

When looking over the cast of melee, I could only find 2 characters that I would be fine with being dropped. Those two were the Doc (we already have mario, we're not losing anything big) and pichu (come on..). Other than that, Many of the characters needed some adjustments in my opinion, some major and some minor.

I really hope Ness returns. Sure, Earthbound (Mother 2) may be long and old, but Ness is not forgotten. Advertise Lucas and make him popular so mother 3 comes stateside, but keep Ness in. He's an original
