The Tier System is Broken

Hi, I just wanted to voice my opinion, but I think the tier system is broken. I was playing with my friends today, and when I played a Rosalina I was so bad at killing, but when I was Ganondorf I could kill in one hit. The weird thing is that Rosalina is top tier and Ganondorf is at the bottom. It seems to me that the tier lists are messed up.

Anyway, I know I made a thread like this earlier, but I wanted to see if anyone agreed or disagreed on the matter, and if they wanted to have a discussion . Please don't delete this thread since these are just my opinions.

You obviously do not understand what the tier lists represent. Tier lists represent the maximized potential of a character or characters. A character at it's top level, and ranked from their potential. Just because you killed one Rosalina with a Ganondorf does not mean he suddenly is higher on the tier list. It's not broken, you simply misunderstood it.

I don't understand. I can promise you that A good Ganondorf could beat a good Rosalina since he is so Powerful. The system seems pretty biased to certain characters IMO. Way to represent your community tierists.

You don't understand? Then why are you making a post questioning it?

Yes, a good Ganondorf can beat a good Rosalina. Tier Lists do NOT mean "This character always wins against this character", they represent "This character, at it's very best with no mistakes, beat all characters below it." or at least some iteration of that.

Tier lists are just representations of what has done well in tournament up till now, they aren't opinion based or at least shouldn't be. Rosalina has been doing well, Ganondorf has not. A good Rosalina player is more likely to beat a good Ganondorf than the other way around because that's statistically how that matchup has gone.

It does not matter how you as an individual player do or what you as an individual player think. If you think Ganondorf should be top tier then go enter tournaments and beat Rosalinas and win to change the statistics being used.

Warlock Punch takes a read to nail on a professional player, and even then, it's really hard to do that WITH a read. Rosy is fast enough to dodge it on reaction, and any character can shield it. Saying a character is "better" because of one very slow and predictable move is not a viable reason.

First off, just because someone has a different opinion doesn't make them a troll. Second, I believe, in my opinion that Ganondorf could do better then Rosalina in a tounrament. Why?

1.Ganondorf Is Stronger
2. Ganondorf has Better Moves
3. Ganondorf's side b is really good.

Rosalina is not that good compared to Ganon

But I can hit players with a Warlock Punch well, so it balances out. If the player is good at using the WP, then Rosalina doesn't stand a chance.
