Google “wii soft mod” or something. You only need a 2 GB+ SD card (4$ or less) and one hour of time.

As long as you have a SD card big enough to fit Melee on you will be able to play it with everything unlocked and more.

Agreed to an extent. I've had my MadCatz memory card for years (I got it new around 2006-ish) and it hasn't ever gone bad, but the third-party memory card I got whenever I got my GameCube has gotten corrupted.

EDIT: I just checked to see what brand the card was because I forgot. It's a 4Mb Intec. The card lasted 10 years (2003-2013), but then got corrupted last year.
