The Super Smash Bros Series - Should it End or Continue?

The series will continue as long as they still get good reception. If the 4th gets good reviews, then I might hope for the fifth. If the series starts to go downhill, then it may end.

And more important. If Sakurai isn't the leading developer of the series then it could probably be ruined already without him around since I heard he had an arm injury which could be a sign of him getting over aged for developing games. I think this is something we should worry more about rather then Smash.

I hope not as well but not to be selfish, I would feel a bit cheated if we don't get Mega Man.

Looooool, sakurai can gtfo IMO. He's proved he's less than capable with Brawl - what a frankenstein of a once great game series.

As long as Smash is one of Nintendo's best-selling games, it won't end, and I am happy for it not to. We may see Sakurai rotate off, but one way or the other we will continue to get Smash Bros as long as Nintendo makes consoles.

Kinda sad how some people lose hope in a series as soon as the first mishap. Come on, it was only one game... :/
I'm not losing hope in the series, I enjoyed Brawl more then Melee. I just go back to Melee every now and then for the soundtrack and stages.
whats wrong hyping a game when your 40?
Nothing is wrong with it, I just rather be spending more time with a female I care deeply for by then if I earn one.

I really appreciate the posts from members that understand the message behind this thread. It's strange how some members make it seem as though I didn't give any reasons why I would have rather the series end but after reading every post I change my opinion.
It was foolish to have asked this question, the smash bros series will continue as long as nintendo is alive. As they create new franchises and add new characters to current ones, they open doors for more stories with characters, stages, and fighters. THis thread is a waste of time.
No it wasn't.

One of the reasons why I posted this thread is because I thought a topic like this would have turned into an interesting discussion. If this thread was such a waste of time then why bother to leave a post?

Get lost.

Bit of a ridiculous thread, honestly. It'll continue, and there'll likely be one for each new console that Nintendo creates.

Wow, some of you guys are big-headed jerks.

I honestly think this is a good topic for discussion. That said, Smash Bros ending is like Pokemon ending. It probably should end, but it's such a big hit that if the main series ended, you wouldn't really be able to do much with the series after that, and they'd have to come up with something just as good or even better to fill the hole. I can see this being the last Super Smash Bros for a long while, but most definitely not forever.
