I dunno if anyone noticed this, but there is one frame at the very edge of any platform where you are basically back into your standing animation. this is because of the weird leaning "OHEMGEE IM GONNA FALL" animation, and even while dashing it still puts you into that animation but because usually you just run off you dont even notice. it works like a pivot, and you can do any move straight out of it. doing a dash the opposite way looks really funny, if you just dashed all the way across FD and then suddently you dash backwards.

mostly this is useless, i just saw someone's post on ledge turning and i thought they were gonna post about this. Probably only semi-useful things that can be done from this are maybe a fsmash or counter (i dunno, last minute before fox/falco's firefox gets there or something?)

i actually figured this out a while back when i was learning to do sheik's run off reverse needle edgehog (no jump) but ended up pressing back a frame early.

It's easier to walk to the edge of the stage and tilt slightly in the other direction, never going into dash animation. I've seen it used out of a Dtilt too, the IASA frames are shorter than the time Marth spends sliding and can turn around to grab the edge. Not a pretty sight getting edgeguarded like that, especially as Sheik.

no no this isnt about grabbing the edge. this is about the teetering animation being cancelable into anything and your running/dashing/walking animations are automatically canceled by it and allows you to do anything during that one frame. usually when you go off the stage you dont notice it because you continue and are off the stage, but you can actually dash the opposite way which looks really funny. also you can do any attack move.

as i said in my first post this is pretty useless, i just wanted to say it.
