The Protomen

So I've been into The Protomen for the past months.

I start talking to a friend today, and I mention them to him.

He suddenly goes into this long rant about how they're "Not Music" and how "Video Games have soundtracks already."

The suddenly, I realize that there is A LOT of hate for these guys.

For those who don't know who The Protomen are:

The Protomen are a musical group whose work consists of Rock Operas set in the Mega Man universe.

MEGA MAN ROCK OPERAS, PEOPLE.

Sounds silly at first. But I assure you, listen to them, and you'll have a different outlook on the Mega Man storyline.

I just wanted to ask...why?

Why the hate? What's so bad about these guys? They're awesome!

I don't see why someone would say that they aren't music. they are pretty standard rock. Lyrics don't make something music or not.

I don't really like standard rock music, so I don't like em/can't judge em.

How exactly are they 'not music'? I'd like to believe a lot of **** I hate music wise isn't music, but sadly it is.

Stupid people, you should learn to ignore them lest you become one.
