Thank you, based individual
here's the one I made for getting perfect loops: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TT6LaIsldyk
1. Metal Cavern corresponds to Mushroomy Kingdom and FoD corresponds with Mario Bros. The ids for both stages are the same as their brawl counterparts. If you do not know those IDs, they're:Me and one of my friends have been assembling a custom music pack with custom victory themes and different songs for every tourney legal stage as well as for the menus, but before we polish it off and upload it I have a couple of questions.
1st- What BRSTM files correspond to Metal Cavern and FoD? I've been working off of the Brawl filenames but obviously those aren't accurate for these stages.
2nd- How important is it to loop songs? The pack I've been working on mostly utilizes entire non-video game songs, which don't seem to lend themselves as well to looping. I, personally, enjoy listening to songs in their entirety, but do you guys have strong feelings about non-looped songs? I'm worried that since I converted most of them from FLAC and 320 mp3 the filesizes might be too large once we finish converting everything.
3rd- Do you guys have a preference on explicit/clean songs? Many of the ones we've planned to use are explicit but I'm not sure if those would be appropriate for streaming or for some people to play in general.
Any input or feedback would be appreciated!
2. I can't speak for everyone, but personally I loathe when people compile packs or have songs in their game that are perfectly loopable, but fade out. Looks sloppy as hell. In terms of non-vgm/edm music, it depends on the song. Certain ones that I know wont sound good looped, I let fade. This is all a matter of opinion though. If you're happy with it, go for it.Metal Cavern

Though this thread is for BRSTMs, you might have better luck searching around the other areas of the hacking community.Does anyone know where I can get a Brstm of the original Pokemon anime's theme song? You know all that "I wanna be the very best" and stuff? There's even an extended version so if there's any brstm of that, I'd kinda prefer it. Any help would be very much appreciated!

My Vanilla and Sprinkles build.
If you want that 100% tournament legal build, might as check this out. It has 73 songs, most are for the stages, some are victory themes, it comes with a strap menu, a new menu, css song cycler for all of the main menu songs, new csp to go with the menu. I think that's about it. Didn't make any of this. I did convert a few of the songs tho~
This is manly music, so I thought this would be a better place, then making a thread.
@ Mithost
Any chance this music pack could go up on that OP o:
Some tracks are looped but with an intro before the loop, you could just cut the intro, or alternatively you could keep the intro, then make the next part loop until it gets past the 8 minute mark (if you play with the tournament ruleset, since you know you will never go past 8 minutes in a match it works pretty well). It depends how much you care about that small intro.Quick question, are some songs just impossible to loop? For example, I have this song.

But I can't find a single point where it loops well enough back to the intro. I could just leave it be and let it fade, but I want to check.
It seems to loops the part after the intro with the Violin (?), but from what I seen so far here you can't have it where the intro plays once.
What are you talking about? That's how BRSTMs work. It plays the intro, and loops back to the corresponding position you set.Quick question, are some songs just impossible to loop? For example, I have this song.

The nature of BRSTMs don't require you to play doctor and snip away parts to obtain a loop or extend the song for 8+ minutes before conversion. Wait, are you saying that you can have the intro separate to the loop? In all my years of brstm making, I've just made an edit inside audacity, and converted it in brstm converter and set it to loop. So I just manually do everything in audacity, and I don't know of any feature that lets you have control over it with an intro that only plays once before the loop. Which software does that? What are you talking about? That's how BRSTMs work. It plays the intro, and loops back to the corresponding position you set.
This song has a natural loop. Here: http://speedy.sh/bYd4E/Melty-Blood-Act-Cadenza-Severe-Person.brstm

Brawlbox (and BRSTM Converter) work like this. Look at this Gif I made.Wait, are you saying that you can have the intro separate to the loop? That's literally what BRSTM is made to do.and I don't know of any feature that lets you have control over it with an intro that only plays once before the loop. Which software does that?
Oh wow thanks, shows how much of a brstm n00b I am! I use BRSTM Converter 3.3, I'm not sure if you can do it with that.Brawlbox (and BRSTM Converter) work like this. Look at this Gif I made.
The area in the green section represents the section before the loop, which includes the intro itself; the yellow line indicates where the song will loop back to or the loop point; and the red line indicates the end of the BRSTM, or in this case when it will loop back to the yellow.
DUUUUUDE HIROPRO I HAVE FOUND THEEIs there any way to easily convert BRSTMs to Mono? Just realized that stereo won't really work on CRTs that only have one audio input. I know that you can convert to Mono in BRSTM converter but I'd rather not have to convert all my WAVs again and have to reset the loop points.
I wantAwesome thread guys. I was just wondering, has anyone made a BRSTM for Hugger Mugger's "Where You At?" before? If not, my I request a properly looping version to use as a Menu Theme?
EDIT: Nevermind, I got it! I was putting stuff into the default Brawl folder instead of the Project M folder. My mistake.Screencap your strm folder (with the directory included)
