Nice job. Good to see the list is still coming together.

It appears you listed Metal Gear as both 14 and 22 in your complete list, so I'm not sure if either one is meant to be something else.

Ah, thanks for catching that, corrected it just now.

I added Metal Gear Solid to the list when I first made it I believe, as MGS was a franchise I saw repped, I just didn't have a confirmed icon for it yet.

Algus! I've been looking all over for you!

Anywho, do you know what type of Japanese Sakurai uses on the Japanese language Dojo and what the franchise names are in said type?

I'm not that hard to find ;)

What type of Japanese Sakurai uses?

I imagine he uses typical katakana...

The franchises are called thusly in Japanese (romanized for the non Japanese speakers)

1.) Dairanto Smash Brothers X
2.) Donkey Kong
3.) Star Fox
4.) Kirby
5.) F-Zero
6.) Metroid
7.) Pokemon
8.) Zeruda no Densetsu
9.) Super Mario Brothers
10.) Yoshi
11.) Dobutsu no Mori
12.) Made in Wario
13.) Hikari Shinwa
14.) Metal Gear Solid
15.) Sim City
16.) Nintendogs
17.) Fire Emblem
18.) Mother
19.) Devil World
20.) Panel de Pon
21.) Ice Climbers

That's how they're said in Japanese. Not much of a change, really.

If you're after me about that whole alphabetization thing, I've been over the entire list several dozen times in English and Japanese, and attempted to alphabetize in both styles. I can say that no, the series are not in alphabetical order of any sort.

...they are however, in chronological Smash Brothers order.

i.e., First is Smash Brothers. (Icon 1)

Then comes Smash Brothers, 64. (Icons 2-11)

Then is Smash Brothers, Melee. (Icons 12-14) (This is assuming Icon 13 will be Game and Watch)

Finally, is Smash Brothers, Brawl. (Icons 15-???)

Whoa Algus! When did you get here?

November of 2001 ;)

Great to see that thread come back (after death of Nsider Forum)

I guess most of us were wrong about Third Party Numbers would be used in different selection, but it was surprised, however, I hope there will be 24 or more series that are playable characters.
