Yes that's right! (And I'll edit the title later if anyone is offended.)

Lately, some people have been posting a new thread for every little question or update or something that's already been discussed. For those people who don't know how to use SEARCH, or post in the "What's going on with Smashbros.com" thread, here's the thread for you!
Instead of making COMPLETELY new threads just to say something like "CHECK OUT TODAYS UPDATE" just post it here. Yes, that's what the "What's going on with Smashbros.com" thread is for, but some people don't post there (I'm not saying people will post HERE, but with 2 threads there's more of a chance really).
ALSO, instead of posting a new thread everytime a character is confirmed, you can post it here. Yes yes, that's what Character Discussion is for, but as you've all seen: Not All People Have The Common Sense To Post There. Lastly, if you have any questions about SSBB, or just want to voice an opinion, don't make a new thread, just post here. Please.

Edit: Can a moderator capitilize the "t" in "the Official Noob Thread" ?

(And hopefully the mods see the good that I'm trying to do here and don't close this thread.)

This is a noob thread.
We already have "What's going on with smashboards.com?", and countless other threads where noobs can post questions and answers. There was no need for this.

EDIT:
And how come everyone is putting ".:: ::." before and after their titles? That's annoying as hell.

egruntz is right.

I'm sure you had good intentions, but this isn't helping anything.

Yes and if you could read you'd realize that I wrote how instead of posting there, people post completely new threads, hopefully this will better the chances of people not making new threads for things like "Updates" or "Opinions" or "Questions" .

Sariku: That's what I'm trying to do *thumbs up* .

And Mr. Gaw: I DO have good intentions, but how will we know if it helps or not until the people who post useless threads for stuff like updates or character suggestions and stuff like that post a new thread or post here. Also if people post here talking about characters, I/We could just direct them to the Character discussion instead of flaming them endlessly until their topic is closed.

But, these people new to the site don't think they are noobs. The chances of them clicking here are less likely then them clicking on the official topics.

Well, we'll have to wait and see won't we? Why don't we all just stop saying how bad of an idea this is until something actually happens? We probably won't know until after the next update because after every update someone will start a new thread, and half of them get closed, so we'll see.
I myself, see this as somewhat of a failure, but let's see. Maybe the words "Official Noob" might spark interest in someone and they'll read this before making a new, going-to-be-closed-for-sure-thread.
