ur impressions always looked like reliable stuff...but about mario f-air...it looked like it lost the knokback of the e for all demo or you were just using it a different way..(ssbm way)?

It's a meteor when the fist is going down right? I'm wondering how effective meteor canceling it would be.

But yes, the F-air is very cool. It looks easier to hit people with it and then recover. WIN. =)

Finally thanks Gimpy for one decent video of mario in 1v1. And that's like the first video i've seen any edgeguarding go done. And youre fairs were ridiculous that match. Looks like they buffed it a bit in atleast speed.

Did anyone noticed the fireballs getting a little nerfed? but quite possibly less lag afterward?

Edit* = Oh and Snake up b'd after getting footstool hopped if anyone noticed that too. at 1:40. that was a cool combo i must say.

Less range, but that only seems to nerf them for long distance spamming. They probably can be used in combos and ledgeguarding or anti ledgeguarding about as well from what I'm seeing.

I love Mario's Forward Air in Melee so I'm glad to see it's still useful. :)

Awesome match there too.

Best Mario Brawl video I've seen so far. I didn't know you were that good with Mario. Anyways, I'm glad is f-air is still good.

i dont think you can meteor cancel in this game
I really doubt that... i'm just thinking that people aren't used to the slowness of the game to time the meteor cancel right... but that's just my oppinion on things.

who said this?

show me a video of it happening
To be honest, I haven't really seen any videos of people landing meteors/spikes. >< But I do remember this guy says that Ike's D-air is a meteor. If that's true, there must be more of them out there.

dair - a downward vertical stab, can meteor therefore can be meteor canceled, can only meteor right when ike thrust Ragnell down, can be land canceled on the ground

u get a lot of killing knockback if u hit them while marios punch is above his head...his u-air,n-air and b-air are good killing airs, at high percent, as well...:-/

I totally agree with this. I use this move in Melee an insane number of times (more times than I should but that's because I'm having trouble performing nairs), but I love to use this. I just get annoyed that against Lvl 9 CPU, this has no effect as they b-up immediately after.

How does the Down-Air compared to the Down-B of Melee?
I'd expect it to be really toned down and I know that it doesn't raise Mario up anymore.

It's faster, it has greater aerial mobility, it's stronger, it's harder to get out of, it has less end-lag and it has greater knockback on the last hit.

But it's useless for recovery.

Indeed. I've just about decided to use Mario as my main character, since I played Doc before.
