You know what I'll like as Lucas's Final Smash.....Him pulling one of the needles and the dragon coming out and beating the holy crud out of the opponents for Ultimate Damage but a guy could dream.
I want him to summon Drago.

Would be more awesome than awesome.

Pulling the needle and summoning the dragon well....
I think destroying the world a bit too powerful for a Final Smash.

Well the Drago seems cool as well but you can't say that the Dragon would be a bad FS, I mean they can always do it without the whole world being destroyed.

I'm guessing PrettyGoodYear is right and his final smash will be summoning the Dragos
Just like he did at the end of chapter three in the game, pulling the needle seems a bit too much, you don't even see the dragon in the game, you just see how everything is being destroyed.

Yeah, I really like the Drago idea... the only thing that bothers me if how you'd control it... maybe Lucas could ride him? Or Lucas could stand in the backround and you get to control Drago...

Dunno... I just don't want him CPU controlled or something like that. But I think it's something they could solve easily.

Okay, taking my own swing at the revealed moves:

While it looks similar to PK Flash, look at how Lucas used it. He kind of brought his hands out and released it, whereas PK Flash was the product of constant focus, and Ness only shook himself out of it when the attack was all the way finished. Personally, I think it's more likely to be an Up Smash. However, because of the next move in question, it could also be his up+b. It doesn't look any more special than his Dair, though, so I'm doubting PK Love.

Considering how the Rope Snake acted in MOTHER3, I'd say it is most likely to be Lucas' method of grabbing, a sort of Hook Shot with Tether Recovery. It could also be his side+B move, but who can say? Definitely a form of tether recovery, though.

This is a conundrum. It looks exactly like PSI Magnet. The only thing is, it appears offensive. It's possible, that, considering how they looked in game, it might be Brainshock or Paralysis. If it were Brainshock, it'd likely hinder the other player's controls somehow, maybe reversed directionals or something. If Paralysis, the result is obvious. However given how PSI Magnet looked in Melee and how similar this is, it might be another shield. PK Freeze also comes to mind, however, even though Lucas never used that attack.

Definitely f-air. Might work like Ness', might not. Hard to say, really.

Now this is just silly. I'm not sure why everybody thinks it's affecting Kirby. That's the start of his slow walk animation, or his ground slide deal from Kirby's games, or it could be as simple as turning. Any way you slice it, it seems like something Sakurai just did to make an amusing screenshot. It could be like people said, and he's controlling something far away. Saying that the sunset pose ( http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/images/lucas/lucas_071001b-l.jpg ) is part of this move is kinda ridiculous, since you can see that he has all of his fingers raised in it, instead of two. It's possible that it could be the result of throwing somebody, or it could be a move like Din's Fire , or any number of things. I just doubt it's having any effect on Kirby, though.

Without a doubt, the same attack. As far as what it is, that's hard to say. It looks like Ness' Nair, from the way his hands are, but it doesn't seem to spin from the stills. Then again, they are stills. However, it looks more like a Dair since the PSI is focused below him. Could also be a down+b, who's to say? Given the color, if it was Down+B it'd probably be PK GROUND, one of Kumatora's only unique moves, which is something like an earthquake/eruption deal. It's possible that it'd deal damage if it just hit a character, and erupt if it hit the ground. But as that's just baseless speculation, it's most likely Lucas' Dair.

sorry for wall o' text and image ;-;

I dunno, just looks like it has momentum to me...and yeah, if it's his Fsmash, why no stick?

Lucas seems to already have quite a few martial arts style attacks for a psychic boy.

About the move that look like Ness' Nair. Those sparkles seem to be important. Could be a sort of...throwing-dirt-in-your-opponents-eyes kind of move?

NAir (definitely!):

DAir (probably):

FSmash:

Compare the dust cloud in the above picture to the two below:

Same thing? Yep. Thus, Lucas' FSmash. WOOT! :bigthumbu

(Okay, so it looks the same to me. The second picture is a bit larger than the cloud in Lucas' picture; but the important similiarity is that it is less a "cloud" and more an angular flow of dust.)

I hate how people assume because Lucas is different it means Ness is in.

Not that I want him out, I just want some actual, I don't know... proof?

We know it doesnt confirm his return, but it definitely increases the chances.

What aeris points out as Lucas' NAir im seeing as more of a FAir. The reach looks a bit too godly.

If you want proof that Ness is in, the only Nintendo game where the rights are to a company CALLED "Ape Inc" is Earthbound, and they're listed on the bottom of Sakurai's site. You can say it's because of Mr. Saturn or the Franklin Badge, but no, the rights to those items carried over to Brownie Brown. You could also argue the Pokemon argument as Ape did work on Pokemon under their new name, Creatures, but no because Creatures is already listed as well, and has no rights to Pokemon under the name "Ape Inc".

It's kinda irrefutable. Also, I don't get why people keep calling that kick his nair, it's obviously a fair.

That giant spark we saw in his first few pics could be his fair or his forward B, meaning that the kick could very well be his Nair. I sure hope so! Lucas seems to have one thing that Ness needed badly: consistant range!

Actually, scrub that. A Japanese site claimed that Rope Snake is his >b. That means that the giant aerial spark we saw is either his Neutral B or his Fair.

Fair or Bair

Dair

Special , Taunt, or UpSmash

Forward Smash

Special or Fair (in case the kick is his bair, but the possibility of it being a special is still big, as the attack looks like is continuous)

Grab move

Taunt or Automatic standing-doing-nothing action

Taunt

I'm gonna say Bair. He would sorta twist around and kick them, and it will own like Ness's Bair. So far, I'd say Lucas is without a doubt a close range ness.

Also, Rope snake is defenitely grab, and I'd bet that attack everyone is debating over PK Love is PK love.

While I still hope Ness (who has always been one of my top 2 mains) is in, I think I ay be playing a whole lot of lucas.

So, where did the hexagon go in pic number 5? If that was an attack, Meta Knight would be in a damage state. I think that's just the effect we get from his second jump.

I wouldnt say that yet. Some of the attacks look similar, but alot seem quite different. Untill we get the real special move set I think it might be impossible to tell.

Also he doesnt seem more close range. Look at all the hexagons coming out of his aerials, not to mention the rope snake. He seems to have more range then Ness.

Same, I will be sad if Ness is out (although I doubt he will be), no matter what happens Im probably going to be playing as Lucas alot.

What we really need is the Lucas SM update. I'm crossing my fingers every day that it will come. Observe the distribution in days (not updates) between the character's revelation and his or her respective Special Moves update:

Pit = 3 days
Wario = 9 days
Zero Suit Samus = 80 days (!)
Ike = 6 days
Pokémon Trainer = 16 days
Diddy Kong = 13 days
Meta Knight = 8 days
Snake = 0 days
Sonic = 1 day

Note that Meta Knight's Special Moves were not given an official update, but were instead used as the "example" for the Four Special Move Types update, which actually preceded Meta Knight's character profile!

Also note that, save Zero Suit Samus, all of the newcomers had their respective Special Moves revealed within three weeks, the greatest amount of time being 16 days. Lucas was revealed on October 1st; today is October 23rd. This is the third week. We can only hope that Sakurai reveals Lucas' SM update this week, lest we be forced to suffer a grueling wait comparable to that which we endured for ZSS' SM. :ohwell:

I hope his moves get revealed next week, they revealed Dedede's and he was updated just the day before, plus he's the only newcomer to not have a special moves update.
Hence my bad feeling that it will be ZSS all over again: leave us without information for months. :cry:

Then again, Brawl could be released before the Lucas: Special Moves update comes.

I have a feeling it will be next week... dunno why.

Here is my theories:

1. Every week we get an update in the "Characters" section.
2. I find it unlikely we'll see a Character profile next week
3. He's the only newcomer without his Special moves revealed.

Then again, there are a TON of things they could release in the characters section...

  1. Kirby: Special Moves
  2. King DeDeDe: Final Smash
  3. Snake: Final Smash
  4. Wario: Final Smash
  5. Sonic: Final Smash
  6. Peach: Special Moves
  7. Ice Climbers: Special Moves
  8. Ice Climbers: Final Smash
  9. Zelda: Special Moves
  10. Zelda: Final Smash
  11. Ike: Final Smash
  12. MetaKnight: Final Smash

And a few others I can't pull from the top of my head...

But even against those odds I have a feeling we might see them next week. It's only a feeling though.

veterans seem to only get FS updates, unless some special move is changed for another (Mario), or if Sakuari wants us to know something interesting or whatever about someone's special move(s) (Link and Fox). Zelda will get some update aside from her FS, either Sheik (who most probably will get his character profile too, similar to ZSS, either the same day, or the next, similar to ZSS..again :p), or if (unlikely) Sheik is not part of her moveset, her new special.

I sometimes wonder if Sakurai's doing this on purpose. Although, it might not be his fault. Maybe the spot hasn't been hit by the dart on Monday or Tuesday, Haruhi hasn't told him to put it up, the winner of Twister hasn't felt like it, or he hasn't pulled out the right Buneary.
