I have seen many anti-threads around here, but I am here to point out a character that should definately NOT be in Brawl. Bowser Jr. is who I am talking about. Why do I hate this character so much do you ask? Because he is uncreative. He is in the same boat as characters like Dark Samus and Baby Mario. They are simply alternate versions of existing characters that lazy developers created to make a quick buck, because they were too lazy to create original characters. Actually, if you think about it, Bowser Jr. is two uncreative characters in one since he turns into "Shadow Mario".

The reason this character sucks is his complete lack of any moves that would be original. Sure, he has his paintbrush. It's not like that can inspire THAT MANY moves. He would be forced to look to alterations of Bowser's moves such as his flame attack. He could also turn into Shadow Mario, a clone of Mario. Why would anyone want to turn into a Dark Version of Mario? (I guess the same reason people want Dark Samus to be playable =/)

Bowser Jr. is said to be the new big villain in the Mario franchise. He has made it into all the sports titles and spinoffs. Well, so has Baby Mario and Baby Luigi. You don't see anybody wanting them to be in Brawl.

Now let's look at the poll that showed all the requested characters that people wanted. Bowser Jr. HAD to have shown up, right? .....RIGHT? Nope. Nobody in Japan wants that ****ty turtle ****. Even if he was mentioned, Sakurai didn't bother posting it, because he is such a lame and uninteresting character choice. Sakurai has obviously shown he likes charaacters that are original. They intrige him. Well, Bowser Jr. obviously isn't one of those character. He MIGHT show up as an AT if fans are lucky. He definately does not deserve a chance in the playable roster.

That was the plot of Sunshine, where he was framing Mario. He couldn't frame Mario if he couldn't turn into Shadow Mario could he?

No, because fist fighters don't fight exactly like sword wielders who don't fight exactly like staff wielders. His A moves would be entirely different to everyones except maybe Krystals but even then they could fight completely differently (since saying they'd fight the same is like saying every sword user would fight the same as every other sword user).

Let's just hope that Sakurai doesn't lack imagination like you obviously do. Also Dark Samus is nothing like Samus. You're obviously ignorant to use that as an example while clearly knowing nothing about Dark Samus.

And that about sums it up! Bowser Jr. is a creative character, could have a unique moveset, has evidence in the form of Delfino Plaza/FLUDD, and would make a great addition to the line up...am I in the ballpark?

I personally don't want to see Bowser Jr, mainly because the Mushroom Kingdom is represented just fine with its current roster. Adding in Wario, they don't need any more.

Wario represents his own series, Wario Ware Inc.

I don't like Bowser Jr., but I don't see any good reasoning as to why he shouldn't be playable.

I kinda hope Bowser Jr doesn't get in. I don't hate the character, I just think there are other who should get in. Like a Koopa for example! Bowser Jr could get in as a Bowser alt character costume.

Sakurai's shown us that he can make creative movesets for the dullest characters; before Smash, we never would've imagined Captain Falcon as a badass pyrokinetic with an awesome catchphrase, or Fox as a speed-freak with an incredibly cheap down B. If he includes Bowser Jr., I'm sure he'll find a way to balance his style with others.
I, though, can't see Bowser Jr. as a PC. He's not yet an "integral" part of the series; Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, DK, Wario and Bowser are the reps of the Mario series, and none of them could be taken out or replaced. Bowser Jr., however, has a doppelganger in the form of Baby Bowser (though they're not the same, they look and act almost identically), and he also retconned the Koopalings out of existence (their appearence in M&L:SS notwithstanding). Despite his appearance in the two newest canon Mario games and several spinoffs, I just don't think he deserves the spot.

Hey, I said I was sorry. That's the most anyone gets from me. Koopa is generic, and if a Hammer Bro. is an AT, what makes you think a Koopa will be a PC? He can't do ****, he's more likely an enemy. I don't care about Bowser Jr. but he is WAAAY more important than a crappy generic enemy that only walks left and right and starts annoying the **** out of you when he rolls around in his shell.

That's another point of mine. The Koopalings are an example of how Bowser's offspring could've had creative character designs. Bowser Jr. just looks like Baby Bowser.

And come on. How is an evil version of Samus creative? They should have just had Metroid come back as something that WASN'T a blue clone of Samus. I am not saying it doesn't have unique powers, I am just saying that an evil version of the main character is very cliche. I don't see any Dark Link for Brawl threads.

I don't see why I should be getting flamed when the creators of the Anti-Lucario and Anti-Whatever Else threads did not. I don't see why people DO want him in, because he is so boring. He is essentially a sub-boss. He isn't important to the series as a whole, only Sunshine (One of the least popular games in the series). And he definately is not an "All-Star." He definately could get AT status, but he isn't popular enough or important enough to get a playable spot.

He'd be a cool assist trophy, in strikers charged he had a sonic scream attack, they could have him come in the backround a damage anyone caught in the scream

I don't think that Nintendo wants to over rep a franchise. Mario already has a ****load of representation. Now, who do you think Sakurai would put in Brawl? A character in the top five of most requested or a character that was not requested even once? I mean, if you just look at the poll, BJ is less popular than Petey. And that is just sad.

Um... lets see here.

So far the confirmed characters are Mario, Peach, and Bowser. Wow, what an astonishing over representation of the Mario series in Brawl! Luigi will probably make it back, but beyond that we don't know. If another Mario character aside from that didn't make it in, we'd have less Mario characters this time around. The Mario series is undoubtedly the biggest series of Nintendo. It'll probably get them most characters. Don't you think?

Toad is a lot more important to Mario series. I, too, don't find it fair that Toad is still Peach's shield. :ohwell: However, Bowser Jr. is a very likely character regardless.

I only like bowser Jr. because he's a freakin turtle with a paintbrush (and real styish pony tail). He sounds like a wimp, has an unattractive role in games and really isn't a good Mario character, he's a clone (though about every mario character is a clone of another mario character).

I don't think he should be in brawl but if he is, I shaln't complain.
