I think that there should be two Konomi Reps in SSBB. That second Rep should be A whip Welding Belmont. For these Few reasons.

1. Castlevania was Nintendo Exclusive in the Console Market all the way up to Super castlevania 4. ( then Sega had Bloodlines and dracula X)

2. His moves whould translate Well to SSBB.

3. He could be a counter to Zero zuit samus's laser whip

4. There are many NES fan boys out there that are huge castlevania fans.

What do you peeps think?

Don't forget Trevor Belmont. I'm all for him. I loved Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse for NES.

nah, they don't stand a chance, but possible i guess
Says who? Not only was Simon Belmont practically considered a Nintendo character (an honour back then), but got a response on the polls. While it's unlikely since Sonic got the most third party votes and Geno got second, Sakurai could easily make an exception for Simon Belmont especially considered his amazing moveset potential and the unique qualities only seen in the Belmont bloodline.

This isn't saying Simon Belmont is in, but it's not fair to say he doesn't have a chance. Especially considered he stated "perhaps one or two more?" in reference to third party character as a question, meaning he's completely unsure. Not to mention Konami doesn't expect anything to for their character use in Brawl. So if Sakurai simply can't decide which third party characters he likes personally despite fan desire, it's more than possible for Simon Belmont to get in.

Well my line of thinking is that Konomi obviously is going to be represented in SSBB, I feel that A Belmont whould be a much better Rep then Solid snake. That point is validdue tothe fact that when Metal Gear Solid released, Symphony of the night was release about the same time. They took a populaur vote asking what was the most popular psx game that year. Castlevania won the popular vote over metal gear. So I whould assume poeple whould liek to paly with a castlevania character more. Maybe thats just me, i dunno :: shrugs:: this game will be hot either way ! I got my wario :D

Also, I whould like to add that We Castlevania fans needed to pool our votes on any Whip Whelding Belmont. Instead of spreading them around by different names. I think it was SImon that has most votes. So I whould say Vote for Simon. Cus I personally will Shattner my britches if I see a Belmont in SSBB!

First of all, you misunderstood me, what I meant by "they don't stand a chance" is that they are not as popuplar as they use to be and I am saying that there are more popular 3rd party's that are more likelyto be in that Simon, and I also stated "but possible" since i know their from Konami which the company that Snake comes from, also you mentioned that Simon was practically honorable back then on Nintendo so I guess that could play a factor, so I feel they might have a chance but not high enough that's all I was trying to say

Unfortunatly, Have to agree with you. But in my heart of hearts i have to keep hope alive. But I would like to remind you all what character was represented as the main supporting character in the oild 80's show Captian N? It was none other than Simon Belmont. Click the link below to look for your self. Btw Captian N Would be the Dopest SSBB character ever! Quick Pause belt! dun nu nu NA! Ah yes what a trip down memory lane that would be...good times. :D

Simon is one of the most likely third party characters to get in. Apparently Sonic isn´t on the cards for SEGA, while Konami already has Snake in the game.
