My thoughts as it goes on. Note, I started typing late:

• Ultra Sun and Moon news great to get some new info. New UBs is cool though it messes up my nickname theme...
• Minecraft on 3DS is a brilliant marketing move.
• The Mario Party thing looks pretty good.
• Metroid stuff looks great, and I loved the Smash Bros. reference in there.
• Ah, Xenoblade 2. Looks... interesting. Don't know too much about the franchise to feel invested. Worlds look great, though.
• Splatoon 2 news. Glad Kelp Dome returns, new map seems interesting. And damn, that umbrella is huge.
• I really don't care for Fire Emblem, though I'm glad to see Lyn in the game. Lyn is cool.
• What in the world is this shooter game? Strange looking game.
• DOOM and Wolfenstein on Switch? That's pretty great!
• Classic arcade games on Switch is pretty smart.
• Switch exclusive Square Enix title? In HD-2D? Eh, the game looks cool, but I'm not too interested.
• Lola Pop is still as weird as she was before. But button-remapping though.
• Dragonquest Builders looks like a mix between Minecraft, Terraria, and the Sims.
• Damn, Dedede, those arms looks like they belong in ARMS.
• Alright, Odyssey. Here we go. Damn, this game looks incredible.

Well, I'm back! That was honestly quite a nice direct for the most part! What's got me really darn curious is that Smash Bros reference during the Metroid Samus Returns footage... does that hint at Ridley and Smash for Switch as a whole? Or does it have something to do with amiibo?

So not only are Super Star partners coming back for the new Kirby, but the Animal characters from Kirby 2 and 3 are also coming back as well. The nostalgia in me is exploding right now.

Overall, I thought it was a good direct.

Easily the most unexpected treat of the Direct, although the FE Warriors leak being real was a bit of a relief so I can stop hearing about how Lyn deserves to be in more than the existing cast of a neat indirect confirmation of the main character I'm waiting to see too.
