Actually, the Pokemon in Melee had the voice and persona of their anime counterpart. This was especially so with Mewtwo, as in the Japanese version he had his movie VA I believe. But in the anime different members of the same species had varying voice pitches, but the ones used for Melee were the same voices as the main characters in the anime. So a Brawl Lucario would likely be based on the movie Lucario, voice and all. Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon can be considered truly random species since they are trained...

However, I still dont think that Lucario should glide or be floaty if he were in Brawl. Mewtwo is already questionable, but Lucario wont likely be having any Psychic moves if he is in Brawl...

Realisticly if they get in Claus, Ridley and Balloon Fighter *Shudder* should be the only new gliders.

I cant see Lucario gliding or Ashley or anything like that. Mewtwo is fine how he is jump+floaty wise and doesn't need to be gliding everywhere.

Gliding, like multi-jump, is a very nice recovery ability. You just can't give it to everyone~

I really can't imagine them gliding... it would look so strange and stupid.
If anything, Mewtwo should fly... but not glide...

I don't know about Lucario, but he isn't even type psychic. Yeah he can learn it, but it would just be very very strange... he should fly up or something... but not glide...

Dedede gliding would be strange too. The people who think that should watch dededes flying again on youtube (search: kirby vs dedede (I think..)).
It really wouldn't fit...

Mewtwo gliding makes sense...he glides on the ground ANYWAY...and in the anime he can fly and stuff...

I dunno about Lucario...I dont think he should...

The King should just get multiple jumps...which is what is probably gunna happen...

not really, because the Jet pack could be used to propel him forward through the air. it could theoretically work like Peach's float, but it would make more sense to glide with it. another possibility is making it slow his decent, kind of like Peach's Parasol.
