hey... i know MGC is comming to lubbock in sept. but its gunna be in dallas this weekend... and these other guys in dallas are holding a tourny.... a G-crew is gunna be there?? supposivily they are really good or something... was gunna see if yall knew anything about either one.. and which one would proly pay out more

there is this guy named infinity that I can't beat that plays in dallas. everyone else there I beat when I was at my best at the beginning of the summer. g crew or whatever is pretty good but I think lubbock on the whole is better.

I'm done w/ class so I'm up for playing whenever. I guess I'll post my number so you can call me up when you want to play. I'll add it to the first page as well.

Maybe for a short time, if we start late. I'd be available for longer tomorrow or Thurs, despite the fact that I said Tues was open all day. I have a job tutoring, I'm meeting with a college church group tonight, need to look over some things for math class, and have an 8:00 tomorrow morning.

Felix couldn't beat Infinity. From what I've seen in videos, he's a good Meta Knight player who plays with rare speed and aggression (even for Meta Knight.)

Dallas has several players who would be competitive on a state-wide scale. However, so does Lubbock. I actually think Lubbock could assemble a crew good enough to beat them.

Melee1 plays Ice Climbers and is also one of Dallas's top players. Wobbles the Phoenix (Wario and MetaKnight, IIRC) is the best in Dallas, I believe, BUT he often goes to Arizona AND has claimed to be on hiatus from Smash for a while. I'm also not sure he's part of that crew.

Felix, do you think I could've beaten that infinity guy at my prime? I'm really good against Metaknight players because I played Felix's all the time. In fact, when I went to Trashday, I didn't have any sort of problem against a Metaknight player.

What do you think?

I think you'd beat him probably. I think I can beat him maybe if I play more and get as good as I was before I left for home.

Melee is just so much funner and faster. Brawl is a lot about horizontal spacing.

i cant say which I like better, I'd like melee if there were more characters than like 4 that I could play as and win with. it just gets boring picking fox over and over again sometimes. I always have fun playing both.

gah I never had to pick favorites between 64 and melee because no one played the first one. now people play melee/brawl and I feel like I gotta choose!

I may pick up SC4 if enough people play, my roomate has a 360 so who knows. I played a bit at ryan's w/ julias and it seems fun but if I played that game I'd have to learn all the moves and stuff before I could even tell if I like it. who knows I bet if you guys give a good enough argument I'll pick it up.

Sigh, it's sad that the grammar knowledge of our country has gone down the drain, in addition to adding such words as "doh", "funner", and "funnest" to our everyday language and dictionaries.

Sadly, people do not realize that fun is a noun and they simply turned it into an adjective by making the morphing the word into comparative or superlative forms.

But whatever with that... back to practicing Melee...

I just use the word 'funner' because it's a common word.

But, I do believe you're right Steven. Funner isn't grammatically correct. But do you really think it matters very much on these forums?

I'm not trying to start ****, but don't use me as an example of the dip****s of America. When I try to put a thought out, I make an attempt to make it coherent. Look at all my previous posts, you can tell that I at least try to use correct spelling and grammar.

Are you serious right now? I wasn't criticizing you... and just for your information., that was not a period to end my statement, it was simply an "etc." Like in a paper when you quote something and cut something out, you use [...].

L2Play before you get all fired up. =)


Edit: Also, does anyone know the date to the actual tourney that is coming? I think a few people around here MIGHT go, but I am not sure since everyone dislikes Brawl so much.
