I was thinking...

If there was a way to activate all of your pain receptors to their fullest extent and maximize the neurotransmitters in your brain that magnify pain, wouldn't that be the most painful thing in the world?

I was also thinking that you could probably actually do that, or come close to doing it, by giving someone some kind of drug to get them to release those neurotransmitters and than hitting them with a certain frequency of microwave radiation that is specially tuned to activate pain-receiving neurons in your whole body. Ow? I think that's the most painful thing.

Emotional pain, if you ask me, never comes close to being as painful as physical pain. Although I'd have to say that if you were being tortured by someone you love who doesn't love you back, it would be that much more painful.

But Toecutter, I'm assuming you say unrequited love is the most painful thing in the universe because you love someone and they don't love you back. Why don't you tell us about it, in the relationship thread?
