The Legendary Builder from Dragon Quest Builders.
They use swords, hammers, oaken clubs, explosive wrecking balls. Reflect attacks with a Cantlin sheild. Set spike traps, and rides a sabercat and for the final smash, builds a city around the other characters that gets destroyed by a giant golem. Build items you pick up into better items. Use build attack on hammers to transform them into golden hammers. Or craft a specific item from a tiny list similar to Shulks monado attack. Use shovels. Buckets of water from DQ Builders 2.
Male and female versions of the characters wearing different outfits.
It is possible that other items and abilities from the Dragon Quest series can be borrowed.
As for the stages, there might not need to be a builders stage, just a Dragon Quest Stage. But the ruined castle just outside of Cantlin seems appropriate.
