Hi everybody,

I just recently opened up a multimedia rental store and my partner and I wanted to try setting up a free videogame Club and have occasional free game tournaments with or without prizes.

I browsed the forum and tried the search tool but I could not find any section in the forum dedicated to the laws surrounding playing video games in public. Please, can anybody link me to or explain the laws? Do I need to contact the game publishers for permission? Do I need to pay royalties?

The space is under 1000 sq ft, and there would only be one TV under 55" diagonally, and only one pair of speakers. I believe we would fall under the "homestyle exception" if it helps.

Thanks!
