The first tournament I have hosted, and I hope for this to turn into a weekly occurrence.
Be ye a filthy casual or seasoned veteran, visitors of all skill levels are welcome! You can play friendlies or tourney matches here.
The venue fee is merely 3 dollars with no event fees. Since this is my first tournament, I am considering this to be a trial run, and the only competitive event being hosted is Smash 4 singles. In the future, there are plans to host other events including Smash 4 doubles and more, as well as offering prizes.
Schedule:
2:00 - Preparation and Friendlies
3:00 to 6:00 - Tournament Matches
This tournament is being held at my home. However, the venue fees will be added to my funds for the rental of a larger, better venue next tournament. Because it is held at my home, Please PM me if you are going to attend because I have limited space and want to account for the number of people coming, and so I can send you my address.

General Rules
3 stock, 8 minutes
No Items
Pause Disabled
No Sudden Death: Winner determined by percentage
Equipment is banned
Amiibo are banned
Custom moves are banned (See below for Palutena and Miis)
Stages
Starters: Battlefield, FD, Smashville, any Omega
Counterpicks: Dream Land 64, Town and City
Other
Gentleman's Rule: Players may play on any stage as long as both players agree to it. Stages exempt from this rule: Gaur Plain, Palutena's Temple, Temple, Big Battlefield, The Great Cave Offensive, 75m. These stages are exempt from the rule as stalling is too powerful an option on these stages and may delay the tournament.
Suicide Rule: If a character uses a suicide move, the winner is decided by the results screen.
Palutena and Miis: Palutena is allowed to use all her moves. Miis are 1111 only.

Conduct
No swearing or inappropriate talk in the venue.
No food in the venue.
No throwing controllers or physical misconduct. In the venue.
No Johns in the venue. Git gud in the venue.
This tournament is a mere trial run to see if there is interest, and to get the Oregon Smashers together. If attendance is high, expect a much more full fledged tourney with more events and a better venue next time. Also, I know my ruleset is a bit different than most in the stock count and stagelist. If you don't like the ruleset, tell me, and I'll do my best to improve it to what benefits everyone. Lastly, feel free to bring a setup if you have one, as I don't have too many.
