Much like Bowser in Smash 4, Hector is a very powerful and heavyweight character, yet still has some speed to him in spite of the huge weapon he carries around. It's an axe, btw - Hector is the only axe-wielding lord in his franchise, shutting down the possible "generic anime swordsman" argument that comes up when FE reps are brought up in speculation threads. Speaking of which, Smash doesn't have a full-fledged axe wielder either (apart from Villager)
Hector has rated third place in the masculine FE Heroes ballot, just below Ike and Roy, and just above Chrom who made it fourth place. But way before a Fire Emblem game for mobile was a thing, Hector was already beloved by many due to both his usefulness as an unit in-game and his lovable personality. He may not have seen much relevancy lately, aside from perhaps the producer of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia expressing his interest in remaking The Binding Blade, but even then, Hector only had a slightly minor role in that game.
I encourage you all to support him and thank you by advance for reading this OP!
