The hardest decision: Guitar Hero or Rock Band

I'm at a standstill, I don't know what to get, Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero World Tour. I'm completely split. I've always been a been fan of Guitar Hero, however I recently started playing Rock Band. I've only played the Guitar in RB though. I was always initially leaning towards GH WT, but then heard of the problems with the instruments. The instruments have always been top notch (I hate the original RB guitar), but they always seem to have some kind of problems. I had to return GH3 3 times till I got a somewhat decent guitar, which is still a little wonky with activating star power. Now with the problems with the drums in GH WT, I don't know what to do.

I had read up on the new instruments with RB2, and they seemed to be well improved over the original RB. Yet how does the 4 pad drum hold up to the 5 pad? Supposedly you can use the drums from one game on the other, but I don't see how that's possible.

RB seems to have a crap load more DLC, however I recently started looking into GH Tunes in WT, and it looks amazing. I never thought the whole deal of making your own songs would kick off, but seeing the remixes and covers people are doing of things like classic game music is about to sell me on GH WT. I'm not sure which art style I like more, they both have their ups and downs. I'm also looking at the track list for both games, and while im still undecided, im leaning towards RB2, with songs like master exploder, and things like the ACDC track pack.

I've never played Rock Band, and I've played a little Guitar Hero.
After everything, it really just comes down to the song list.

In which case, they're about even. I mean, GH has Freebird, Sweet Child, Welcome To The Jungle, One, etc.

Rock Band has Enter Sandman, Run To The Hills, Wanted, Pinball Wizard, etc.

I can't really decide. Matter of taste, I suppose.

freebird isnt in world tour, your talking about past gh games. im more looking only at world tour v RB2. i already have guitar hero 2 and 3, and RB (only the game though, no instrument set)

Well I have neither, but I've played Guitar Hero. Your choice really depends on the track list, and how much you're willing to spend. I don't know if Rock Band gives you the option of buying JUST the game and one guitar. I haven't heard anything about that, which is the main reason I'm not planning on buying RB. Too expensive and I don't need all those other instruments.

i dont even think ppl read the OP, and just look at the topic title lol. i want a full band game, and looking at full versions of RB2 or world tour. not the guitar only bundles
